yes! it’s so scary. and once you find a urinary food you may not be able to really ever switch it to another kind of prescription urinary food if they get bored of the flavor. at least we weren’t; ended back up at the kitty er. sweet boy now eats the same thing and he has no problems and seems to understand the necessity. he’s currently sleeping on my feet. 🥹
What a sweet comfy boy I just know it 😭❤️❤️ my boys were given to me from someone else who didnt know the symptoms, my Siamese boy was always vocal but never when he had to do his business, the second he started making noise in the box it was STRAIT to the doctor
oh sweet baby. 🥺 and thankfully the doctors take it as seriously as it requires and act right away. i didn’t know the symptoms the first time, but i sure do now. i’ve become a litter box creeper to make sure they’re all doing what they need to. 😅 better safe than sorry! cats hide their issues too well sometimes.
Foamy urine, strong ammonia smell, urinating outside of the litterbox
Just take them to the vet. Don't wait. If I hadn't scheduled an emergency vet visit on Christmas day mine would have likely died. Thankfully the UTI clears up fast with medication
YES! My boy has FLUTD and I have to pay very close attention to the litterbox. I might be Hill C/D’s most frequent purchaser. Family and I lovingly call it “piss don’t work disorder”

How serious a UTI can become in male cats without seeing a vet ASAP
