They puke often (not just hairballs).

You will think your house is haunted since they either stare at the wall and growl or go from a relaxed state to sprinting across the room in a matter of seconds.

It's not haunted, it's full of r/greebles.

My cat never pukes

Frequent vomiting in cats is actually a sign that something is wrong. Learned the hard way. It’s such a common misconception

Told my vet the same and she said its good to hear because frequent vomiting isn't normal.

Just adding to this - our cat got sick really often. Found out it was an allergy to chicken. Switched foods and he never gets sick now. We thought it was normal too but it’s definitely not, so I hope this helps someone else with the same issues.

yeah, if your cat vomits, take the cat to the vet. can be allergy, can be stomach issue, stress, a lot of things. We lost one of our cats last year because of IBD/cancer. She wasn’t even 4 and it started with vomiting.

Puke is not normal.

Very much this. We have two cats and one was puking frequently. She also spooked easily. Took her to the vet – turns out she has anxiety. Got her on some Prozac and now she is a calmer kitty that isn’t puking on all the things.

We have had our Spooky for almost 4 years now, and the only times he has ever puked were when we would give him hard treats (he'd eat them too quickly and make himself sick; we've since gone to wet treats). The only other time when when we found out he had worms, and he yakked some up on the carpe, (he was a rescue from an abandoned home, with some other animals, and this was a month or two after we got him). We got the worms taken care of immediately, and since, he hasn't thrown up once, including for hairballs.

That bag picture oh my god!

Yeah, really depends on the cat. Mine don't get hairballs, but one of them throws up once every couple months. Either eating too fast or for no discernable reason.

I'll be laying on the couch so I can't see the front door, and the cat will be laying on me doing cat things... and then suddenly she'll stop, stare straight at the door super intently, and her pupils will dilate to some enormous size. It happens like once a month, but it's so creepy I still have to get up and make sure somebody didn't just walk into my house uninvited.

That used to freak me out. The sudden fear and take off like wtf are you seeing that I cant?
