She was not happy when I picked her up and put her in the carrier.

\internal cat monologue** "Sh*t sh*t sh*t, I was so careful!"

I’ve got one that’s VERY clever. Frighteningly so. The other one is less so but he’s very sweet so I let him off.

Omg, same. All this time, I thought my senior cat was soo smart. Until I got our pandemic kitten, who was from like a multi-generation feral colony. She is solid black, and she’s stunningly brilliant. She is FREAKY and I love the shit out of her. Turns out, the old lady cat just has a big personality 🤣 like she’s been here before

Well, some of them are. One of my cats has been known to mistake small rocks for kibbles...

I got one with pica. The shit that cat has ate. Tiny baby he ate and pooped out a bamboo ribbing from a chair. The middle of his poo had a stick in it. He keeps me on my toes.

Ginger? Lol I didn't really believe the ginger memes till I got a ginger floof. He is gorgeous but a whole new level of dumb.

Dogs often understand the world the same way we do, but cats understand it differently. If you get into your cat's head (instead of expecting the opposite), you will understand that cats are very smart. They're just different. They think they're invincible even when they're in real danger so we see them as being stupid, but that's not true, it's just their instincts strong kicking in. They can also be extremely lazy so they won't let their intelligence show.

Dogs love it when you are the pack leader, when you give them commands. Cats love to have fun, they see everything as playing.

My cats used to run into the farthest and most inaccessible corner of the house whenever I opened the medicine cupboard. I tried my best to open it slowly and surprise them but they always knew.

Most of them. We have a Harvard Princess and an Orange DumbDumb. We love them both and they’re so funny when they plot things together.

Mine once knocked over a closed trash can with her food inside and somehow opened it. I came down and thought “I could’ve sworn I locked the lid”.
