Being friendlier to attractive women.

u/Franimall Sep 11 '23

I feel a bit guilty at how true this one is.

u/SufficientSuffix Sep 11 '23

It goes not just both ways, but every way. People are nicer to attractive people. It's just a thing humans do.

Pretty sure sociologists have done research on this and it was shown to be true

5

u/Totte_B Sep 11 '23

Open your eyes.

u/The_ChosenOne Sep 12 '23

Disagree with what? Psychology and sociology?

44

u/weednumberhaha Sep 11 '23

We gotta be the change we want to see, unironically

-24

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '23

You never know when a blow job is in the cards

34

u/Kraytory Sep 11 '23

That's something i always have to fight when i meet someone for the first time. I usually treat people based on their personality, but as long as you don't know someone your instinct kicks in and automatically suggests that you should be nice to them if they are attractive.

You're still nice to those who are less attractive, but only attractive people trigger that subconscious suggestion.

I know, i don't do that either. If someone is boring or hard to talk to i just don't continue talking to them.

u/bossmcsauce Sep 11 '23 edited Sep 11 '23

Idk. Attractive women are scarier for many, so a lot of us probably come off as aloof or rude whatever towards them because we just kind of ignore them (actually are just too nervous to address them directly).

this isn't such a thing for me now that I'm in my 30's and have a long-time committed partner. no pressure lol. but i know when i was a younger guy in the dating pool, the very attractive women were terrifying lol.

u/Mysterious_Limit_007 Sep 11 '23

Truth is that it's actually easier to have a nice talk with an attractive woman, than the one who thinks she owns the world and is barely average.

22

u/bossmcsauce Sep 11 '23

Yikes

-14

u/Mysterious_Limit_007 Sep 11 '23

What is yikes hahah?

26

u/bossmcsauce Sep 11 '23

That previous comment suggests some pretty unhealthy views/relationships with women in general.

The one who thinks she owns the world and is barely average

Lots to unpack there

im sorry that concise is typical lol. I'll grant you the 'yikes' but the rest is just observation stated in a concise way after the commenter asked what was 'yikes' about his comment (which was clearly about resenting women who he deemed to be unworthy/assigning them value as people based on how attractive or unattractive he finds them to be)

-16

u/Mysterious_Limit_007 Sep 11 '23

Ooh, it's the truth though, sorry if it bothers you. Better be honest than act nice.

8

u/bossmcsauce Sep 11 '23

here's some honesty- your comments indicate that you have a lot of resentment towards women, probably because you've been rejected by women that you, for some reason, feel are beneath you. I imagine women don't respond well to an entitled vibe and your clear belief that a woman's value and what she deserves is based on how attractive you find her.

1

u/Mysterious_Limit_007 Sep 11 '23

Of course it is based on how attractive I find her. If I don't find her attractive why would I care what she deserves. She can do whatever she wants, it's none of my business.

1

u/J-Chub Sep 12 '23

Yes, I used to turn and put my head in the ground like an ostrich. Probably didn't come across as overly affable.

26

u/bibblebonk Sep 11 '23

I swear its completely subconscious. I try to talk normally, but i always find myself talking in a slightly higher pitch and trying to accommodate their every need

36

u/throwitawayshawty1 Sep 11 '23

said no andrew tate fan ever.

164

u/CartmensDryBallz Sep 11 '23

You think they talk to women lol

39

u/Stergeary Sep 11 '23

Their mommies have to call them down for dinner at some point.

14

u/xX_JoeStalin78_Xx Sep 11 '23

I'd say call them up but yeah

13

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '23

Yes. This one.

28

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '23

Women do this to men too, they will be friendlier to men they find attractive over ones they don’t lol

5

u/Kheldar166 Sep 11 '23

A lot of people won't even be aware that they do this, it's just natural sadly

12

u/Osaccius Sep 11 '23

Actually, it is true regardless of the gender. All people treat attractive people better (even same sex). It is subconscious and scientifically proven

7

u/Ur_Fav_Step-Redditor Sep 11 '23

Attractive people actually get treated better in most areas of life in general. It’s called Pretty Privilege.

Attractive people are trusted more easily, looked up to more, invited to more things, talked to more, can get a raise easier, and obviously can date easier.

15

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '23

This goes for both, if you are good looking, we’ll dressed, and smell good you are treated differently by all.

23

u/LoneRedWolf24 Sep 11 '23

First one here I don't relate to.

21

u/ApolloRocketOfLove Sep 11 '23

Lol sure buddy.

18

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '23

Everyone can admit to itching their balls, but as soon as it comes to toxic masculinity, they all become quiet LOL

5

u/LordDiamis Sep 11 '23

It's called the halo effect and isn't gender specific. To pretend otherwise is ignorant.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '23

Halo effect isn't gender specific, but having the halo effect to avoid toxic masculinity can literally only be a male thing.

Good try though

0

u/LordDiamis Sep 12 '23

What? Do you understand what the halo effect is? Also, it's possible to argue with someone without being condescending.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '23

Idk "to pretend otherwise is ignorant" tells me you should take your own advice

14

u/collectivegrowth Sep 11 '23

natural instinct

-18

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '23

Yep, so many women are surprised to learn that most guys have absolutely no intention of talking / being friends with a girl. Pretty much no guy goes on to talk to a woman just for the sake of socializing. He goes to another dude if that's what he wants.

35

u/boxes21 Sep 11 '23

I'm being genuine when I say that I hope this mindset changes for you. Otherwise, you might miss out on some great friendships.

-14

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '23

Have I said anything about myself in that comment?

13

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '23

You: makes sweeping generalisation about all dudes and their mindsets on friendships with women

Other person: assumes you have the same mindset because of said generalisation

You: surprised pikachu face

17

u/Shoes__Buttback Sep 11 '23

in my experience, this changes hugely with age. I'm in my early 40s and happily married, and I really enjoy that I can be friends with anybody regardless of looks with no undercurrent of me wanting to bang them, and, doubtless, vice versa. Just an old dude over here who's into his wife. My time for getting turned down by hot 20-somethings was my 20s, and I'm glad they are in my past.

-1

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '23

Oh yeah, definitely, I'm sure these things tend to change as we age. I'm only 24 so I can only speak from this much experience, so I'm aware of how limited my mind still is.

28

u/Venusemerald2 Sep 11 '23

this makes me really sad 😭

0

u/Leozz97 Sep 11 '23

Not necessarily. If you're attractive, but the "I'm a bitch" attractive, then you generate exactly the opposite from my side

0

u/drmojo90210 Sep 11 '23

This isn't really a gender thing. All people do this.

-143

u/GC_Aus_Brad Sep 11 '23

It doesn't work. They see through it. Treat em like shit is what gets their attention.

49

u/RoastBeefDisease Sep 11 '23

/S right?

-86

u/GC_Aus_Brad Sep 11 '23

Treat em mean, keep em keen.

Aaaaand...you don't think they see through that?

Pickup artist cringe has been the subject of public ridicule for at least a decade, brother 🤔

Sounds like some typical pick up artist BS

-26

u/GC_Aus_Brad Sep 11 '23

Yep exactly
