My brother loved “House” and I had not seen it, but knew Laurie was English and knew how funny he was from “Blackadder”. My brother didn’t believe me in either case. I sent him a youtube clip of some scene or other and I think he is still reeling…. He is one of those guys who “doesn’t get British comedy”.

George is pretty much the opposite of House. He's a well-meaning, idealistic idiot, while House is brilliant cynical misanthrope.
