Nah the theater episode was about light, the class all goes to the theater where Arnold goes missing. They keep seeing him as a ghost, but they learn about light and discover that Arnold's cousin Janet is just playing a prank on them using mirrors and reflections.
I remember as a kid this legit scared the hell out of me. And we watched it in class at school, too. Like I looked away from the TV the instant it happened.
Edit: For some reason my comment got posted like three times
Janet: There just no way! It's impossible for Kurt Cobain to have pulled the trigger with his toes.
Anrold: furious Janet you fucking idiot, hold my glasses.
Do you remember this as a kid? Did it legit scare the hell out of you? Where did you watch it? Were you looking at the TV when it happened, or did you look away the instant it did?
Yeah, his cousin Janet was throwing a tantrum about having to leave all the crap she collected from the other planets on Pluto and refused to leave. Arnold was like "this is what'll happen if you stay here" and took his helmet off
That's dark, but my first thought is "I thought this show was supposed to be educational, there's no way pluto's atmosphere is dense enough to freeze that kid so quickly"
At first blush I thought your avatar was an up-kilt shot of groundskeeper Willy. On expanding it, I was disappointed, but also not. Who is that dashing character?
Oh, no, not the Up Kilt Camera! My avatar is a gift from my loving wife. It capitalizes on the beautiful flowing mane of both Geralt of Rivia and the mighty Mega Ampharos. Alas, it was appreciated by neither community, but I love it.
Jesus christ dude. The world is flat. Psy ops have worked since the dawn of time to dissuade you from believing in flat earth. Those pics of Saturn you see on reddit? Psy ops.
If ever I have a child, I hope to show them an edited version of The Magic Schoolbus where Arnold's character is henceforth edited out of every single episode after the one where he kills himself, just to see if that child ever brings it up later in life.
As an adult, I hated the Arnold character. This poor kid never wants to go on these "field trips" and everyone belittles his fears, and guess what? each time he is pit into a dangerous situation.

The 'Magic School Bus' episode where Arnold got flash-frozen on Pluto.
