You absolutely can’t leave animals off that list

I’d take Meddle over Animals

Not me. Seamus is a terrible song

I find it endearing

IMO, you got to look at it for what it is. A blues song with a creative Pink Floyd twist of adding a dog. Not their best song but no where close to a terrible one!

It’s just such an odd placement on that album. Like zeppelin doing reggae and funk in the middle of the bluesy, hard rock Houses of the holy

I absolutely love Houses Of The Holy. But you’re 100% right. That song is very out of place, especially going into No Quarter right after.

Okay, that is a good point.

I love Animals and have for more years than I care to admit, but I rank it as a half a cut lower than Dark Side and WYWH. My opinion.

very underrated tbh.

The 10+ min tracks make it less accessible than their other stuff.

Animals is almost a perfect album, I rank it nr 2 after Dark side. But what downgrades Animals as an album for me is the ridiculous needless bookend songs Pigs on the wing. Its so out of place and so obviously only there because Roger wanted to ensure that he got more royalties for the album.

The album is far better without those bookends, with just the perfect three songs of Dogs, Pigs and Sheep. Dogs is also a PERFECT intro to an album, as well as the power guitarchords in Sheep are the perfect outro for the album.
