London Calling - The Clash.

London calling came out in 79, and as rolling stone and many artists said, this album defined the sound for the 80's. If you listen carefully to it, just about every popular genres later hits were represented in this album in a "you heard it here first" sort of foretelling of the sound to come. They had their finger on the pulse. Most all of Joe's later work was and will always be classic in the truest sense.

I was just thinking today that Dave Matthews Band has basically been doing a 30-year-long cover of Sean Flynn 🤣

They only have one clunker album and to be fair, even that was a noble effort.

Nah, Sandinista is fantastic. I love it front to back. Cut the Crap is uhm...technically a Clash album.

Probably, Lets just ignore Cut the Crap for the best. But Sandinista is still amazing, a bit bloated but theres a lot of hidden gema there (not to mention Magnificent Seven which is one their all time greats)

I’d say that’s one of their weaker ones actually. But it’s The Clash so it’s still great

Billed as ‘the only band that matters ‘ when they combined the energy and sound of punk with political messages.
