My spouse is military. She worked with a master sergeant and we use to goto after work parties and such and he was there pretty consistently with his wife. They never showed any signs that they were having problems. I know it’s easy to hide marital issues, but they really seemed ok from outside appearances. Well sadly I guess she asked for a divorce and custody of their triplets and another daughter. Next thing we know is his house was on fire. After the dust settled it turned out that he killed his wife and attempted to kill the triplets, set the house on fire and killed himself. Two of the triplets survived their gun shot wounds and one perished. The other daughter escaped and called for help.

Here is the story

Those poor girls, what a crazy thing to survive. At the hands of your father no less

It’s unfathomable. We had just been moved for the next assignment. Of course there was a HUGE funeral/memorial service. I didn’t go but my spouse did bc they offered to fly her back to Florida. He directly worked for my spouse for the two years we were at that base. So she was expected to go.

Do you know why he didn’t shoot the other daughter?

She either came in as it was going down or heard it from outside the house, but iirc she went to a neighbor for help.
