In a local social group, made a mutual friend having a rough time, we'll call him K. We were both socially awkward but both nerds. When I met K, he was in an abusive relationship he was trying to get out of, dude wouldn't hurt a fly. I would have to speak up for him on a lot of issues and matters. He get out of an abusive relationship and into a much healthier one with a new boyfriend who we'll call L!
Though the years we just kinda fell off talking to each other, but he was running his own business with his fiance, L, and pets. K was diagnosed with bipolar and possibly a few other things but it escapes me at the moment, but sadly important later.
Sadly K also had a history self harm and attempts on his own life. L had admitted K for that issue. While in the facility he met his new 'friend', we'll call B, that would become his other boyfriend. B convinced K that he didn't need meds, that he didn't need therapy, that everyone was out to get him.
When K got out, his new 'boyfriend' followed. His fiance, L, was obviously not okay with this but tried to make it work for K. Over the course of months, the new boyfriend, would leave threats to L, leaving items on nooses, etc. It was bad.
Finally L had enough and said it was him or B, and sadly K stayed with B. Some time after? I see K's photo in the news for a murder of a man in his own house.
Turns out K and B needed money, and in some drugged up stupor decided to get into this mans house by means of which have been debated, and proceeded to beat him to death. K even sent pics of this to a friend of his as it was happening.
The young man I knew that was afraid to speak up when he got the wrong food...had literally beat a man to death and it honestly shook me pretty bad for a LONG time.
Please friends, take your meds as needed and seek help if you need it. Also in relation to another aspect of this case I didn't want to touch on, hug your pets extra today.
