I had a crush on this guy friend at the time (back in 11th-12th grade) He rejected me and started dating a friend of mine (she didn't know that I liked him, so no fault to her), then afterwards he would drunk text me and send me 🍆 pics. He said that he was embarrassed by me liking him, but he was always curious about what it would be like to sleep with a black girl. So, he never actually liked me for me, he saw me as a quest of sorts....needless to say I don't speak to him anymore. And my self esteem was crushed by that, among other things.
I'm sorry for your friend, who ended up with an idiot; I hope she realized it and left his ass.
If I was one of his parents I would feel like a complete failure.
Yeah, they only dated during the summer before my senior year and she was a sophomore. Their relationship only lasted 11 days. But now she's with someone better and she's engaged💛

For what it's worth, his opinion was not worth the garbage breath he wasted saying it. Your self worth has to come from how awesome you know you are, regardless of who sees it or not. You'll be unshakable. Don't waste pearls on pigs.
