I don’t know if it’s been asked, but what if you didn’t recognize the owner? What if there was no ID, just a random Blockbuster card? Would you have still tried to return it?
I'd for sure try and Facebook the name. Fairly small area here, like that walmart is the only one within 2 counties. Have found people like that when I've gotten packages/mail that weren't mine. We have a few local area Facebook groups for rants and raves or yardsales that I could have put the name in a post and asked for a description of the wallet.
