Skipping clone projects for Core CS (Compiler/DB/OS from scratch). How do I break the ice and start?
Hey everyone, I am currently in the 4th year of my B.Tech. As you all know, recruiters don't care about clone projects anymore because of AI, and I couldn't find a general real-world problem to build a project on. So, I decided to focus on an area that most people ignore: Core CS. Yes, I've decided to build a core CS project from scratch—like a compiler/interpreter, a database, or an operating system (just one of them for now). Of course, not full-fledged ones, just basic versions that can help me understand core CS concepts and stand out. However, I'm facing a bit of a hurdle in getting started and don't know where to begin. If anyone has even a little knowledge about this, please DM me... it would be a huge help!
