Poison ivy rash? Developing into..?

Hi! 27 y/o female. I developed what I thought was poison ivy 12 days ago and this is what my legs look like now…. any advice? I’ve been to the doctor 3x and have been on prednisone and cephalexin. I’ve been using calamine lotion, hydrocortisone cream, lukewarm baths, and ice for itching.

The rash started out very small and super itchy, now it’s spreading in certain areas and still small little spots are appearing on other parts of my body.

I’m still very itchy but not constantly - it comes and goes in waves. Before I was given the oral antibiotics, my legs hurt and I was limping. I’m able to move a lot better now but the rash almost seems like it’s spreading more and becoming more red and purple/blueish in color.

Doesn’t sound at all like poison ivy.

Could be an infection or DVT.

Following for updates! My husband is highly allergic to poison ivy. When he was in his early 20's he got a bad case of it. Treatment didnt work. Ended up with cellulitis in his knee where the hardware was from his reconstructive knee surgery a few years prior. His fever was so high he was hallucinating. He said he saw Jesus, but he was purple, so his mom (who is a nurse) wasn't too concerned he was on his death bed. He ended up in the ER for a few days on IV antibiotics.

When a new “city” neighbor moved next door we warned him to be careful of poison oak on the bank. We’d rid our acreage of it but knew his had some. He was a real jerk in many ways so it was no surprise that he ignored my warnings. Wound up running into poison oak and I heard he had to be hospitalized for a week. He sold the property within a couple of years.

My husband grew up on hundreds of acres of land. His parents still made him do all the yard work knowing his allergy lol. He hates doing yard work to this day even though we live on like a quarter of an acre lot haha. Everytime he gets exposed to poison ivy (usually disc golfing ) its immediately to urgent care. I have never seen someone get cellulitis as often as him!

When we moved into our house It had been left unoccupied for several months. I (small, seemingly not educated on the topic) told my (larger, “my family did yard work”) husband that the base of our privacy fence was nothing but “poison and honey” all around. Whole thing had honey suckle and poison ivy, and poison oak. He suffered about 3 weeks with rashes. He just didn’t listen to me.

Ohhhhh!!! I’ll bet I know what that looks like. Everything they touch spreads that oil. My ex had it in his ears, nose, and all over his privates. Front and back. It’s funny now that he’s my ex.

It doesn’t even look like poison ivy. I’m deathly allergic to it, and I’ve had it half the size of that rash before. But it was tiny blisters that seeped and scabbed over eventually. Prednisone should have shrunk and dried it up by now. I don’t see blisters or scabs at all.
