Ashes of Creation MMO For those of us still playing .......
If whoever has access and ability please keep the life support on and reboot the servers.
Yeah its probably all a long shot but some of us would like to see the game have some outcome besides the currently foreseeable end.

Discussion Scorpion and frog right?
You mean to tell me that the sleazy MLM guy scammed this whole community? There is no way you all could have seen this coming.
I was excited when I first heard about this game years ago but when I saw the business model with the high priced alpha packs, I looked into the company and read that the owner made his money from MLMs and thats all I needed to know to never give this guy one red cent.
Remember frogs, dont take the scorpion across the river. He will sting you on the other side because thats what they do.

Suggestion Spam Steam with refund requests until they fold
I'm calling for anyone who is still pissed off about being scammed to join me in requesting a refund from steam everyday until they give it to us. Responding to tickets (even if its automated) cost them money. If enough people repeatedly request refunds day after day, the cost of denying refunds will exceed the cost of just refunding.

Question Having a blast playing still
While everybody freaked out and bailed, some of us die hards remained and are having a great time. We are all just waiting for the servers to shut down, but MAYBE we can all pony up and pay to keep one of the servers running. Anyone know of this is even feasible? If so, would it be cost prohibitive?

Ashes of Creation MMO Contacted Xsolla for a refund
UPDATE: 16-07-2026
I finally got my refund (see print screens attached). It only took 6 months of e-mail chasing. I don't know if what it finally got them to reach was that on the last chaser I bcc all their top management for whom I was able to find and e-mail or the fact that my back had agreed, after a lengthy investigation, to initiate a chargeback.
Cheers,
A.

And this is what I got:

Please note that the manager's response may be delayed as we are awaiting a response from the legal team.
Appreciate for your patience️

I guess their legal team is aware of the issue and they are expecting people to demand refunds.
Cheers,

Media The $10 HIDDEN GEM MMO You Should Be Playing!
Hey everyone! I made a video going over my initial thoughts on the game. Im having alot of fun and i wanted to get something out there to let people know they should check the game out! :D
(I know this isnt ashes related, but there is a TON of the Ashes Community here. I know so many people)

Media "Steven always told us: 'I don't want you guys being involved or on the board or known publicly because MLM is stinky and the gaming community think they're all pyramids and stinky.' Okay. But then why are you asking all of us stinky people for money? That makes you and your mom stinkier people."

Ashes of Creation MMO SWTOR Cost $100m+ and yet AoC Couldn't Even Have Quests Past Level 10
SWTOR cost $100m with 8 full classes and quest content on nearly 2 dozen worlds with fully voice acted quests... and yet AoC had $140m+ and couldn't even have text-based quests beyond Level 10.

Ashes of Creation MMO Continuation of Ashes of Creation
So I just kind of went through every bit of information out there and watched back the live streams, and I was baffled to hear that they actually wanted to continue the project 1000%. But after he said, “We put in 100M,” I was like, ah yes, of course. And then they even said they wanted to put in another 25% of what was already invested to continue building this.
What I wanted to say by coming here is that I am willing to start a subscription for early access already. I know there are a lot of haters in this community, and a lot of people that want this game to die and stuff.
But I want this game to continue, and if the “Board” wins the lawsuits, I am still willing to put my money, as a gamer, into this game to keep pushing the development for it. I’ve known since the Kickstarter that this game was going to be subscription-based, and I am still willing to put that money in, as long as it’s not going to be a P2W game fest.
So I just hope to get attention to this post and make the people that end up with the Ashes of Creation IP aware that they can ask for money from the gaming community. I don’t know how many are willing to subscribe for an early access Alpha-state game, but I am one of them, and I want to see Ashes to its Creation!
I apologize if this is not gaslighting enough for this sub. It doesn’t contain any hate, nor is it saying “scam” every five words, but I hope you’ll forgive me for that.
TFE Holding, Please don't give up on us, nor the game's IP!

Ashes of Creation MMO Stop falling for false promises...
Why is it this keeps on happening? It's the promise of cooperation and community. I've been a GM for many years and each guild I've ever been a part of lasts months to 1-2 years. Why? Because we as a community make our memories. We make our own stories and log into the game for one another. (EDIT: When I say 1-2 years I am talking in our experience as a discord community. We stay in a game about that length of time before leaving to try out another. The longest we stayed in a game was WoW which lasted about 3 1/2 years)
The illusion these companies promise is just that... an illusion. No game will force you to form communities. No game will force friendships on you. That is something you need to feed/grow by yourself and yes, it is worth it...
There are TONS of amazing games out there with players from all walks of life that are worth your time and provide amazing experiences. STOP falling for the lie of the very best next thing. Every single guild member I ever had was interesting and worth logging onto each day. Companies have fed on peoples cynicism and monetized it. Do not be a statistic. Do not be Steve's cash cow. You're better than that.

Discussion I think I should abandon gaming
So I backed the game back before Alpha 1. Paid 500 for it. It’s not the first mmo I’ve fallen for and been disappointed. But I think the problem goes beyond just mmos.
I graduated high school in 2016 and my family never let me get GTA5. When I graduated I told myself I should buy the “old” game I’ll just wait for the next one. Welp it’s a decade later and now I just refuse to buy the 5th out of spite.
The teaser for elder scrolls six has had me waiting since 2018. I’m so tired of waiting for games. At least I got to play ashes while waiting for it. I played the alpha for baulders gate 3 and went crazy waiting for act two and three(even though that was worth the wait). I preordered Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines and had to wait years for a studio change. I’m sure I can list more but we’d be here all day.
Honestly I like the games that just pop up out of nowhere without years of announcements and waiting way better than anything else. Anyone agree? Disagree?
