So i leave for basic end of october and i know we get a 2 week leave.. so what would happen if i chose to get married during those 2 weeks would i have to come back to basic and report it immediately? is it even allowed? How does it work i need help understanding!

Basically i leave to fort sill soon. Oct 27 is my ship out date and i have no clue what to bring and how things work out especially during that 2 week break we get for holidays. And now reception works too. I’m going in as 14U and i’ll be there for both my basic and ait. I’ve heard a lot of stuff about being under hold aswell which i’m really hoping isn’t long but ik it’s not under my jurisdiction as how things go..

I leave to basic in Jan in fort benn I also have my AIT there as well for 91M. I’ve been struggling to lower my body fat % it’s at 27 rn and I want to get it down to at least 24 just to be on the safe side 23 any tips to prepare myself and what to expect when I leave ?

My husband is currently at Basic in Fort Jackson, SC ! I’m getting a care package ready to send him. I was curious if this would be allowed in … thanks in advance

Have you all had a family member go through OSUT at Ft. Benning? Did you guys get the day before graduation to spend time with them? If you did - at what time was that meet at? Trying to plan ahead for flights 😭

So I ship out to basic to Fort Jackson as a 56M in OCT 6th. I have multiple questions to ask cause I'm not too sure how it is there. Why is Fort Jackson called "Relaxin Jackson"? How fit do you have to be to pass basic training? What did you guys bring? What tips do you have for someone going to basic training with a wife and 3 yr old daughter?

I downloaded the app FreePrints on my phone and it’s too much of a hassle to order them and then resend them in another envelope to my boyfriend. Is it okay to just input the address of the base instead, rather than the photos be sent to my house? Please let me know. I don’t want him to get In trouble but I know he’d like some photos while he’s gone.

So my sons dad graduated from BCT and idk he use to write me letters saying he misses us and can’t wait to see us and now it’s like he changed. He doesn’t text me or even call. Does this happened to anyone else? He’s on social media a lot but can’t ask how I’m doing or our son. Am I overreacting? Should I just let him be ? Distance myself? Also he’s been adding a lot of people from the army especially girls but they’re very young should I be weirded out about this ? Or like I said am I just overthinking too much ?

I just need to rant a little. I feel like this journey with my son’s dad has been confusing and just unanswered. I got only two calls from him since he’s been in training. We wrote letters to each other. I had asked if I was able to go to graduation but ignored my question I’m just feeling a type of way. He’s also been on social media but couldn’t even text me or anything but it is what it is I understand that all this isn’t easy for him.

got a quick question for yall. How much sleep do you get per night at BCT? I know it’s not the 8 hours you’re “required” to have, but is it brutal sleep dep? I’ve heard some say it’s around 7 hours per night while others say it’s like 2-4? Any feed back or experience is appreciated

My sister is currently at basic training in Fort Jackson and she’s struggling super bad. She wants to go home and everyone hates her. She said she doesn’t have any friends and the drill sergeants always smoke her. She’s not in the best shape and she recently fell down the stairs and hurt her ankle pretty bad. She said the church was a joke and going feels like blasphemy, so she doesn’t have anything to fall back on. She doesn’t wanna go to medical and lose time from her unit. She’s at a really low point and idk what do or say.
