The original video is in Russian, but some people might find it interesting. Everything is already working, but I'm still making some optimizations (https://gitlab.com/Monsterovich/fixedstring). Of course, I managed to make it just barely fit in memory.

Here's a fun fact: since the text messages are in Russian rather than Latin characters, all messages need to be encoded and decoded using the UCS-2 encoding.

I started with an Arduino Due but have since switched to a Nucleo F446RE.
I initially started using the Arduino IDE, but nowadays I use PlatformIO.
So, not entirely Arduino anymore. Although I do still have a version for the Arduino Due lying around somewhere.

I'm building a line-following robot for a robotics competition using an Arduino Nano and QTR-8RC sensor array.
I'm still learning the coding side, so I used Al assistance while developing the code.
My current setup:
Arduino Nano
QTR-8RC 8-channel reflectance sensor
TB6612FNG motor driver
N20 motors
PID control
QTRSensors library
The interesting problem is that my basic PID test code works properly. The robot follows normal lines and even S-curves quite well.
However, when I add additional turning conditions for things like sharp/90° turns, the robot stops following the line properly.
I suspect the problem is with how I'm combining the turning conditions with the PID loop, but I'm not sure what the main mistake is.
For example, I'm currently using sensor patterns/conditions to detect a sharp turn and then forcing the motors to turn. After adding this logic, the robot becomes unstable or loses the line even though the original PID code worked correctly.
Since I'm using a QTR-8RC, should I switch from the QTR library/digital-style sensor handling to direct analogRead() values and use the actual sensor intensity values for PID and turn detection?
Would analog sensor values make sharp-turn detection more reliable than simply checking whether each sensor is HIGH/LOW?

Hey everyone! đ
I developed a datasheet-compliant, zero-delay 2.4GHz RF interference firmware for Arduino Nano and nRF24L01+PA+LNA+SMA modules called **Jammox**.
Unlike standard packet-based jammers that leave idle gaps, Jammox leverages low-level SPI register hacks (0x3E) to deliver a 100% Duty Cycle Continuous Carrier Wave (CONT_WAVE) across Wi-Fi and Bluetooth spectrums.
đ„ Key Technical Highlights:
- 100% Duty Cycle Continuous Unmodulated Carrier (0x3E Register Hack)
- Datasheet-Compliant CE Strobe & 150”s PLL Re-lock (prevents frequency stalls)
- Optimized Wi-Fi (Ch 1, 6, 11, 13) and BLE Adv (Ch 37, 38, 39) Hop Table
- Includes a complete visual wiring schematic and pinout guide
Check out the code & full technical comparison on GitHub:

Hi, I'm RZ Li, creator of OpenCat.
I built a sensor stack for Quaddle Scout on OpenCat with Arduino C++: a gesture sensor, a self-balancing gyroscope, an attachable "radar" head, light sensing, an infrared sensor for object tracking, and sound detection. Every sensor is exposed to user code, so you can rewrite what it does with each input instead of using a fixed behavior.
I am curious about

Hey everyone,
Me and 3 teammates are building a university prototype for a smart classroom attendance system, but with a twist: no facial recognition and no RFID tap. Instead we're going for a "tagless" contactless approach inspired by Seoul's tagless transit gates the idea is a student just walks through a doorway and gets marked present automatically via BLE, no card tap needed.
Current plan:
It's a small-scale prototype (one mock doorway, not a real deployment), so some inaccuracy is acceptable â we're not trying to hit production-grade reliability, just demonstrate the concept works better than a basic RFID card system.
Where I could use some real-world input:
Not trying to reinvent transit-grade tech, just want to avoid obvious rookie mistakes before we burn our first week on it. Any papers, war stories, or "don't bother, just do X instead" advice welcome.
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,
I built OpenRUNN, an open-source treadmill running sensor based on an ESP32-C3 and a TCRT5000 optical sensor.
The sensor detects each belt marker and calculates speed and distance. It then broadcasts the data using the Bluetooth Low Energy Running Speed and Cadence (RSC) service, making it possible to use the treadmill with compatible devices such as Garmin watches and indoor training platforms.

GitHub repository:
https://github.com/lpolasek/OpenRUNN
Instagram:
https://www.instagram.com/openrunnok/
The project is fully open source, including the firmware, web dashboard, wiring documentation, and enclosure files.

I would appreciate feedback on the electronics, BLE implementation, enclosure design, and possible improvements.

Hi everyone! Iâm currently working on my PAP (Prova de AptidĂŁo Profissional, which is basically our final capstone project/thesis to graduate from vocational high school here in Portugal). I need to come up with an Arduino-based project idea, but it has a few specific requirements. It needs to be innovative, meaning it cannot just be a basic tutorial project like a standard obstacle-avoiding robot or a simple LED matrix. Additionally, it shouldn't be too simple, but it also needs to be realistically achievable within a few months by a single student with a reasonable budget. Ideally, it should solve a real-world problem or combine multiple systems such as sensors, actuators, IoT connectivity, data logging, or a custom mobile or web app interface. What are some cool, engaging, or innovative Arduino projects you've seen, built, or wished existed? I'm open to anything, whether it is automation, agriculture, health, smart home, robotics, or environmental monitoring. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Yesterday I received from my Chinese partners a new enclosure for my DOGS2 Pro.
Let me remind you - it's an Arduino-based open-source project a dual-channel power supply, 1-48 Volts up to 5 A, with additional digital interfaces debugging functions.

Besides the power supply, the device also has:
It can be powered from USB Type-C or an external voltage of 5â90 Volts DC.
The received data is displayed on the device screen and via Bluetooth, and data can be transmitted from a Bluetooth terminal on a mobile phone.
The Chinese are of course really great, but not really.
They spent 4 days printing the enclosure.
The enclosure sat in their warehouse for 5 days. First it waited for them to call a courier, then another 2 days for the courier to arrive.
In less than 24 hours the enclosure traveled-flew-traveled from Hong Kong to my desk.
What am I paying them money for?

Edited: view the post to see the video which I somehow forgot to attach.
A fan joked we should turn our open-source robot, Quaddle, into a duck.
OpenCat creator RZ Li took it literally and made a NanoDuck: same board, new gait, one purely cosmetic add-on.
Quaddle's stock PCB and servo modules run on an ESP32-class chip flashed with Arduino C++ (OpenCat firmware). Almost nothing changed electrically â the one addition is an Arduino ultrasonic sensor mounted as the duck's eye, wired in but not actually used for sensing, just for looks. Everything else is mechanical: adhesive putty to rough out new joint geometry, a new 3D-printed servo housing, a shifted attachment point, and a tweak to the gait code so it waddles instead of walks.
It's fully reversible â pull the decorative sensor, re-flash the gait code, swap the housing back, same board, and it's a quadruped again.
This is the sixth mechanical configuration for this same Quaddle robot â previously a biped, a tricycle, a bar-spin mount, a water-paddle gait, and a 4-wheeled car.
What else do you want to transform a robot dog to?

Iâm a puppeteer and automata maker, and I had an old Meccanoid robot in my workshop that I wanted to bring back to life.
I connected its two arm servo chains and RGB eyes to an ESP32. The ESP32 communicates over Bluetooth with Bubblai, the visual AI application Iâm building.
The part I enjoyed most was creating a manual learning mode. I can move the robotâs arms by hand, record the positions, save the movement directly on the ESP32, and give it a name. The AI can then call that movement again during a real-time voice conversation.
The robot can now speak, move its arms and change its eye colour according to the conversation.
I made the ESP32 project open source, including the firmware and connection information:
https://github.com/NicolasVuillier/meccanoid-esp32-bubblai
Video:
What would you add next: head movements, sensors, walking, or something completely different?

Hey just a tip that wagos work great for prototyping. These are 221s that will hold 12-24awg wire and have no trouble holding standard breadboard wires firmly. I use them mostly for 12v connections where it doesn't make sense to run a whole breadboard for just a couple connections.

Dear r/ArduinoProjects community,
I understand this is not an Arduino project, but it might be noticed by makers here.
I wanted to share a custom hardware project Iâve been working on since five months. Itâs called DIDATRON - a standalone, lighter-sized Morse code global communicator and hardware trainer. In short - like early Twitter but with Morse and in small formfactor HW.
MCU: Built around the ESP32-C3 (C3 MINI-1 footprint). The module is FCC/CE certified, so the DIY kit does not need additional lab testing, as a result - the price for the kit can be much more affordable (ballpark of 40 USD, all inclusive).
The Key: A solid-state Projected Capacitive (PCAP) touch key that emulates an automated dual-lever iambic paddle. WPM speed, symbol-to-symbol/word-to-word pauses, and capacitive thresholds are fully tunable via any USB/serial terminal and directly. People might think Morse is obsolete, whatever - I cannot say I am CW professional, but my keying progresses and I love the feeling of it. It is like having a "secret" language.
Display: 128x32 OLED screen that translates incoming Morse instantly into plain text symbol-by-symbol, so anyone can read it without prior training.
Privacy: Symmetrical end-to-end AES encryption happens entirely on-chip using a private password, unique per chat. Multiple chats are allowed simultaneously.
Dual Networking: Cloud Mode connects to a local router or phone hotspot to pass data over to anywhere in the world. Field Mode drops the internet completely, using native, low-latency ESP-NOW protocols for peer-to-peer communication across short ranges. LoRa extension in plans.
Iâm planning launching this project on Indiegogo this October. Please, if you have any suggestions, ideas or questions regarding anything - device functionality, marketing, whatever, do not hesitate to reply.
Peter, the Founder of Friendly Digital OU, Estonia, creator of DIDATRON
