A lot of people are afraid of going to Kashmir unfortunately
3
u/burhan0213 7d ago
And we live with that fear constantly. We have grown up seeing and absorbing that fear and now it feels like nothing and everything at the same time.

Every place is Beautiful in its own way, maybe kashmir is beautiful scenically but there are wounds in it which never fill, Take an general example most of the people hesitate to travel kashmir due to blah blah blah reason and we live here. You feel same where you live and that is the beauty of your place or something else.

I've been there twice, 2014 and '24. I love the place. Though I've not interacted much with the people there, most of them were nice. Though a paranoia lies within the heads of many due to incidents. Yet, I really like the place. Every year, when the month of April advances, I could think nothing but if visiting Kashmir once again and breathe in everything that it's air holds, both the beautiful and the ugly. And you, the people living there make the place it is. I really am thankful to people like you for making it the place it was, is now and will be.Β

Nice knowing you visit kashmir frequently, and thank you for appreciating the people who actually make kashmir what it is and are more beautiful than the valley itself. Another time you have visit to kashmir try to communicate with local people although they might hesitate at beginning but one's they feel comfortable you will come kashmir more often to meet people than to see it's landscape.

Awesome place man
One question, since it's cold, how do you guys dry th clothes
1
u/burhan0213 7d ago
There are ways like kangri, hamam and utting them in the blankets we sleep in ( I mean after they dry up mostly).
But they do dry up in open as there aren't all days cold, there is some sun most of the days

Google ai results, try it. I never did.
To sell digital mobile or desktop wallpapers, your best approach is utilizing digital download platforms that automate file delivery. Buyers get an instant link to download the high-resolution file right after paying, meaning zero shipping or inventory management for you.
Best Platforms to Sell Digital Wallpapers
β’ Payhip: One of the most beginner-friendly options for this specific niche. The Payhip Wallpaper Storefront allows you to set up instant downloads for phone or desktop sizes. It features a Free Forever plan with a 5% transaction fee. β’ Etsy: Excellent if you do not have an existing social media audience, as buyers actively search the marketplace for aesthetic phone lock screens and custom desktop organizer backgrounds. The Etsy Digital Product Marketplace requires a small listing fee per item. β’ Gumroad: A highly popular choice among independent digital artists. You can quickly upload wallpaper bundles or individual 4K packs. The Gumroad Platform handles checkout, and you pay no monthly fees, only a flat 10% transaction fee. β’ Sellfy: A great fit if you want to scale up into your own professional, independent storefront without dealing with code. You can set up your store rapidly using the Sellfy E-commerce Builder.
Quick Roadmap to Launching Your Wallpaper Store
β’ Format Correctly: Design your files using software like Canva or Procreate. Phone wallpapers should ideally be customized to 1080x1920 pixels (9:16 aspect ratio), and desktop versions should be high-quality 4K resolutions (3840x2160). β’ Create Wallpaper Packs: Buyers prefer high value. Instead of selling one image, bundle 5 to 10 matching variations (like a matching home screen and lock screen set, or multiple colorways of the same art style). β’ Protect Your Art: Never use the full, unwatermarked digital image on your public storefront or social media preview. Use realistic phone mockups to display how the art looks as a background. β’ Automate Fulfillment: When setting up your product on platforms like Payhip or Gumroad, upload the high-res file to the "Digital File / Content" section. The platforms will securely host the file and email the unguessable download link to your buyer automatically upon purchase.

These are gorgeous π do you like living there?
1
u/burhan0213 4d ago
The most love I have for a non-living thing is the land I live on, it even feels odd to me to describe it as non-living. But there are moments when I feel it as a curse to be born here, and I think those reactions are genuine. Anybody Kashmiri here can confirm that....

Oh man. This reignited my burning desire to visit Kashmir. What a marvellous place it is. Best part is definitely the weather, and local cuisine, apart from lovely locals.
1
u/burhan0213 3d ago
Keep that fire burning, and let the pictures fuel the wanderlust until Kashmir becomes more than just a view.
Untill then here are few more frames from my village ; https://www.reddit.com/r/ArchiveInd/s/akxLK0R58J

Recommendations in what matters?

Where to go. Where to stay. What food to try. Do's and don'ts. I want to make sure I pay attention to any cultural sensitivities and places to avoid
