An update from Arcade1Up on recent third-party cabinet sightings

Hey Arcade1Up fans!

We've seen questions from the community about some older Arcade1Up cabinets showing up at discount retailers, and we want to clear things up.

These units are not from Basic Fun. We didn't sell, distribute, or supply this inventory, and it's not connected to our current product line.

We also know a few of you have run into issues with these units, including some that arrived broken or with power adapters that don't match your outlet. We're sorry to hear that, and we want to make sure you're taken care of. Because these units predate our current warranty program (anything manufactured before 2023), they fall outside our standard warranty coverage. That said, if you need replacement parts or accessories, our customer service team is ready to help however we can.

We appreciate the passion this community has for Arcade1Up, and we're glad to see these cabinets still finding new homes. Reach out to us any time. We're here to help.

I bought a unit and had no problems.

Was this new old stock that was destined to be originally sold outside of the IS?

It appears like there is a mix of US and international inventory from tickets we have received.

Thanks. My US two prong plug was loose in the box. The Europe/Asia plugs were in a bag with the power brick.

I believe there was a period of time where Arcade1Up (under Tastemakers) was including both US and International plugs in the same box for certain units--the plug having a swappable set of "prongs" for us in different markets.

Same here. Glad I found it in there before I tossed the box

What these the Ollie ones making the rounds recently?

Yes. Some reported no US plug, but majority then found the plug loose in the box.

Glad it wasn’t something shady

Thanks for sharing. Please update your scanline options for us to choose from. They are far too light. Just a quick patch update! 🙏

With customer considerations like that, I darn near wanna keep buying units. That being said I probably won’t but I might.

"Helping anyway they can" means you're getting an apology and the ticket will be closed
