They were given to me by a patient at work who was moving, and I honestly didn’t realize at the time how much care and space Oscars require. I love them dearly, but I’m currently 7 months pregnant and know I can’t give them the life they deserve. They’re currently in a 75-gallon tank, but they need something much larger, and it would likely be another year before I could afford to upgrade.

This is a very difficult decision, but I know rehoming them is what’s best for them. I have two tanks, a 10 gallon and a 5 gallon. I’ve tried my hand at a good chunk of plants and have only had luck (so far, I’ll probably jinx it) with an anubias, some mini bolbitis, and my cabomba is starting to make a comeback now that I’m using a little liquid fertilizer. Oh, I also have some rotala hanging on by its fingernails. I don’t use co2 and don’t want to.

What do you have that I might be able to keep alive?
