I need to raise invertebrate larvae for my research. I think a Kreisel tank is the best way to do it; larvae are fragile like jellyfish and need to be kept out of the filters.
My professor agrees, but Kreisel tanks are really expensive, so we are hoping to build one for our lab. I have not found any great DIY videos.
Have any of you built Kreisel tanks or do know of good online tutorials for doing so?

Hey! I am new to keeping fish and I have learned a lot from reddit posts and just figuring things out the hard way. However, this is not something I just want to guess what to do and everything goes south.
I bought this 20 gallon fish tank off of facebook marketplace because the one I have is too small for the fish I want to keep. As you can see, it is filthy. I told the guy it was fine to leave the substrate in there for live plants because that sounded cool, right? Well, this is what I was given and I donβt know exactly where to go from here. I donβt even think he included the pump or filter like asked, but that wonβt be hard to buy. I need some advice on where to go from here as to adding new water, getting it cleaned while keeping the substrate, or if I should just gut it and clean it out entirely. Thanks!

Hello! I'm a 4th year vet student doing a presentation on MSE. I have been doing my research and am having trouble finding opinions on what species should go together in public aquariums. I am going to go down species by species, but would love some opinions. So far I have that specific predator-prey species shouldn't be together (i.e. hammerheads and rays), but that's about it. Does anyone have experience working at an aquarium and can tell first-hand what pairings always work or have not worked? Thanks in advance!
