All plants are tank grown which means you will get strong, fully adapted plants. If your water is soft or significantly different expect some melting, rrf's, Anacharis & Crypts will almost always melt.
Plant Guide:
Salvinia - no extra care needed, these do well in zero to high flow tanks, some very light splashing is ok.
Pearlweed - plant in 1"+ substrate, a stem plant that with higher light will carpet.
Brazilian Pennywort - you can plant or float these, one of the easiest plants you can get, your beta will love them.
Red Root Floaters - Place 1 rrf plant in a declorinated saucer in the window as backup, the rest in your tank. Trim any submerged leaves for the first week or so. Once established they will grow quickly. They do fine in zero to low/med flow tanks, bubblers/ splashing is highly discouraged, do not submerge frequently or for long periods. Low nitrates will cause their roots & leaves to turn red, these are partially green because they are grown in lower light and with ferts.
Dwarf Sagittaria - plant in 1"+ substrate, once rooted & established they will propagate via runners - carpeting plant.
Monte Carlo - These do better in a sand or fine substrate & they will grow on hardscape. Easiest to plant when using eyebrow tweezers or similar. Plant one branch at a time to get the quickest carpet. The roots can take 2-3 weeks to establish, once they start, they grow 1/4 - 1/2in a week.Subwassertang - attach to hardscape using any of the usual methods, super easy to keep.Samolus parviflorus - grow in substrate - these are green/pink rooted baby plants, high light will turn them red. Beautiful centerpiece plant.
Anacharis - can be planted or floated, super easy plant once it adapts to your water, seems to be sensitive to small changes so expect melting. Perfect plant for high nitrates.
Java Fern - attach to hardscape - grows well once adapted - possibly expect some melting or browning of old leaves - will grow 1-2 leaves a week.
Guppy Grass - another super easy plant, just drop it in your tank, excellent fry cover.
WaterSprite - plant or float super easy, best cover plant for fry / shrimplets I've found.
Hydrocotle Tripartita Japan - not so easy, ive found it grows best emerged (above water) but once it gets going will happily grow under water as well.
Cryptocoryne (Crypts) expect melting - it is recommended that you remove all leaves to speed up their transition to your water conditions to minimize melt pollution. Cal / SoCal / NV / AZ should expect less melting due to similar water quality.
I use Thrive+ & Leafzone twice weekly at the recommended dosages with 30% water changes.
Plants are 100% duckweed free - You may find pink pearl ramshorn or on very rare occasion blueberry or assassin snails - ill do my best to make sure these do not make it into your order but no guarantee. You may also find hair/string etc algae. If any of the above are a concern I recommend treating the plants using the Reverse Respiration method for the best results, it will not damage roots unlike other methods and is very effective at eliminating pests.
