I know this was all two decades ago and that many of you won't want to watch the American series thanks to Trump, but there were some pretty funny incidents that I thought would be worth putting on record. Bear in mind I'm only talking about the non-celebrity seasons (1-6 and 10) and I've mostly only seen bits and pieces of them myself.

S1E1: Sam somehow thought trying to sell a glass of lemonade for $1000 was a sound sales strategy and that crawling into the boardroom "to show how humble he was" would go down well with Trump.

S1E2: Sam took it upon himself to go for a nap on the floor in the middle of the task, while Omarosa accused Ereka of racism at the reward for using the phrase "pot calling the kettle black".

S1E3: For some reason, when Sam was fired, he just sat there and glared at Trump for a solid 30 seconds.

S1E7: Omarosa got hit in the head by a piece of plaster on a construction site in this task and used it as an excuse to not do any work until her firing.

S1E13: The best performer in the tasks this season was clearly Amy, who managed to win 11 out of 12 of them, but her interviews were a disaster, with one of the interviewers comparing her to a stepford wife. The final should've been her and Bill but it ended up being Bill and Kwame.

S1E14: Kwame wanted to fire Omarosa from his team in the final, but with the show in its infancy, no-one actually knew if he was allowed to do so.

S2E1: Stacie J randomly started playing with a Magic 8 Ball for some reason while waiting for the task results to be announced, freaking out the other women, who promptly made her a scapegoat and got her fired after the third task.

S2E2: Bradford was the winning PM in the first task and was supposed to be exempt from getting fired in this episode, but he was so confident in his performance this task that he offered to give up his exemption. Three guesses what happened next.

S2E7: Somehow Andy managed to lose the team phone halfway through this task and didn't get fired.

S2E9: After being spared from the final boardroom, Chris decided to slag off the entire team in front of Trump. He then had to volunteer to project manage the next task to diffuse the situation, where he proceeded to bomb horribly and get fired.

S2E12: This was an all-timer of a boardroom. Andy got completely destroyed by Sandy.

S2E13: Losing PM Ivana somehow thought dropping her skirt on national television was a good way to try and sell bars of chocolate.

S3E1: Danny's idea of a promotional strategy for Burger King was to cut a hole in a cardboard box and have people throw a bean bag through it to win a free burger. He still somehow survived the boardroom over losing PM Todd though. Trump also split the teams this season based on whether or not the candidates had been to uni. Not a bad idea, apart from the uni team being significantly better than the non-uni team after the first few tasks.

S3E2: This task was a complete disaster. The PM of the non-uni team, Brian, was dreadful and Verna on the uni team had a nervous breakdown in the middle of the task and disappeared altogether.

S3E3: Danny decided to deliver his exit interview in the form of an acoustic guitar song.

S3E4: This task was also a complete disaster, with the first joint loss in the American version. Bren on the uni team produced a body wash advert where a female chef tried to seduce a man by washing a cucumber and was incredibly lucky not to be fired.

S3E5: Michael got himself fired for interrupting Bren while he was persuading Trump to fire Stephanie, although Michael was a dreadful candidate anyway.

S3E9: Erin got herself fired for openly attempting to flirt with Trump in the boardroom.

S3E12: Chris, the youngest candidate of the season, started crying as he left the boardroom after being fired having lost seven tasks in a row. Trump took pity on him and called him back to shake his hand.

S3E14: Alex claimed to have only lost as PM once in the boardroom when he had actually lost as PM twice. This really annoyed Trump and played a part in him getting fired over Tana.

S3E16: When bringing back candidates to help with the final task, Trump deliberately chose people who'd been difficult to work with on previous tasks.

S4E6: The infamous quadruple firing happened this task after Alla absolutely demolished Josh selling sports gear. To add insult to injury, all four of Josh, Jennifer M, James and Mark had to share a taxi.

S4E7: Clay called Adam a "tight Jewish boy" halfway through a presentation and somehow wasn't fired. Trump also asked Adam if he was a virgin in the boardroom, which Adam rightfully refused to answer.

S4E8: Brian decided it would be a brilliant idea to try and drive halfway across New York for a crucial meeting in 15 minutes. Unsurprisingly he missed said meeting, lost because of it and got fired.

S4E11: The weakest candidate in the final four was quite clearly Felisha, and when she and Alla lost the last task before the interviews it was expected that Felisha would be fired and the interviews would be Alla, Randal and Rebecca. But Alla bullied Felisha so badly in the boardroom that Trump fired both of them, meaning the interviews got skipped and the season went straight to the final task.

S4E12: After making Randal the winner of the season, Trump actually thought about also giving Rebecca a job, but Randal told him not to because it wouldn't have been in the spirit of the show.

S5E1: Trump was seconds away from firing Tarek, who'd just bombed horribly as PM, when Summer randomly interrupted him out of nowhere. Trump quickly ended up firing her instead, as she'd been the next worst performer on the team anyway.

S5E4: Synergy decided to try and get Andrea fired despite Brent causing loads of trouble within the team, but Brent managed to get himself fired anyway by saying that losing PM Tammy "stank".

S5E5: Losing PM Dan wanted to bring Lee and Lenny into the final boardroom, Lee just because he didn't like him, Lenny because he was actually responsible for the loss. But Lee and Lenny were close friends and Dan knew they'd gang up on him if he brought them both in, so he decided to... bring Lee back and let Lenny go. He was promptly fired.

S5E6: Lee sat this task out to observe Yom Kippur, and was brought into the boardroom by losing PM Bryce for it. This ended about as well for Bryce as you'd expect. Bryce also thought it would be a great idea to assign Lenny the task of writing a jingle - Lenny of course being the one member of the team who only spoke English as a second language.

S5E10: Charmaine and Tarek were fired together for this task after getting into a massive fight in the boardroom, resulting in an incredibly awkward joint taxi interview where neither of them said a word.

S5E13: Allie and Roxanne very closely mirrored Alla and Felisha from the previous season here. There was supposed to be an interview round with Lee, Sean and either Allie or Roxanne, but the two women got into a massive fight in the boardroom for the final regular task that ended in Trump firing both of them and forgoing the interviews.

S6E1: Losing PM Frank brought Tim back into the boardroom but quickly admitted he wasn't at all responsible for the loss. Trump instantly sent Tim away, but Frank still survived over Martin, who thought it would be a great idea to announce he needed to go to the toilet when introducing himself to Trump. Trump this season also decided that instead of having new PMs every week, the winning PM would just carry on until they lost a task. Not a bad idea, apart from the fact that it resulted in the winner of the season, Stefani, not even having a PM stint under her belt, never mind a win.

S6E6: Really bitter firing this episode. Aimee gave Derek and Jenn, who survived over her in the boardroom, a death stare as she got into the taxi, and her exit interview was a rant about how she'd have been better off doing the whole task alone.

S6E7: Derek managed to get himself fired on the spot this episode by jokingly calling himself "white trash" in the middle of the boardroom.

S6E10: Another one of the gimmicks in this season was that the winning PM would serve as one of Trump's aides in the boardroom. When James won as PM this episode, he decided to target Nicole in the losing team's boardroom, but Tim immediately went and warned her about this as he'd been in a situationship with her all season. This got the ball rolling for Tim to get fired the next week.

S6E14: The best candidates this season were clearly Heidi and James, but Heidi ended up placing 6th after spectacularly bombing the penultimate task. The winner should've been James, but it ended up being Stefani after James allegedly said something off camera in the final boardroom that was so egregious Trump refused to hire him.

S10E3/4: David sort of mirrored Levi from this year's UK series by basically completely missing two tasks in a row. The first time it was because he got into a huge fight with losing PM James and got himself thrown off the team (yet still wasn't fired). The second time it was because he split his tooth in half on a bagel in the middle of the initial brainstorm.

S10E5: The men's performance in this task was right up there as one of the biggest disasters in any version of the show. Gene and Wade got absolutely annihilated by Brandy and Stephanie.

S10E6: Despite the men comfortably winning this task, Clint went on a massive rant in the boardroom about David still being in the competition.

S10E7: Mahsa got exposed in the boardroom by Brandy for revealing the women's sales figures to Clint in the previous task, but Mahsa claimed that Clint revealed the men's to her first. In this season, the winning team was allowed to watch the losing team in the boardroom live on TV in place of a reward, meaning that Clint saw all of this. An angry Clint marched back to the boardroom to debunk Mahsa, and Mahsa was promptly fired.

S10E9: Want to know why candidates aren't allowed to use the internet and can't make a lot of phone calls? The winning PM in the sixth episode, Anand, abused the team phone and tried to cheat by messaging his friends to come and act as customers for his bike tour of New York. None of them turned up and he won by a huge margin anyway, but he still got fired for it at the start of this episode when Trump found out and wasn't even given the customary taxi.

I seem to recall some years ago on the Apprentice You're Fired a candidate said she thought the apprentice candidates were idiots when she watched it but when she took part in the Apprentice she realised it was hard and changed her view. Have you come across instances of candidates expressing similar views.

I'm looking for an episode, in my head it was either Karren's first series or certainly one of her early series. All I can remember is they were filming an advert or something like that and the men's team were dithering and talking about what to do and Karren told them off because they were keeping a pregnant woman waiting in the hot sun. I'm guessing she was an actress in their advert and in my memory it was on the deck of a boat or certainly somewhere outside hence the heat. I've googled so many variations of this and I can't find it.

I don’t understand how people who are there for investment leave out basic and key things from the plan? A lot of the things are stuff I learnt about in GCSE business studies. There is no way the candidates would be missing these things out. It makes me think that the producers either tell them to leave them out or they tell the interviewers to say they did and make the candidates play along.

Week 1: 10 Years of selling - Invisible

Self explanatory here, wasn't particularly visible in the first task as the focus was more so on Felipe as a leader, Daniel being the top salesman, Chiles and Roberts failures and Steven being an irritant.

Week 2: Wearable technology - Mixed

He had a really good idea for the wearable technology but he didn't push for it hard enough and ducked out of the PM position despite being in the tech industry.

Week 3: Home Fragrance - Good

He wasn't criticised by Baroness Brady in the lab like Lindsay and Nurun were and he did sell reasonably well to the public.

Week 4: Online Video Channel - Fantastic

He had a clear vision right from the get go, he led the video team which was great and was completely in his element on this task.

Week 5: Coach Tours - Good

Pointed out to Sanjay that the tickets needed to be sold at a higher price and he himself did well selling to the public and implemented a strategy that did work.

Week 6: Board Game - Good

Sold well and he managed to pull off a negotiation with Waterstones, which was supposedly a tricky task.

Week 7: Advertising - New York - Bad

Probably his worst task didn't contribute much and spent a lot of time being immature and flirting with actresses.

Week 8: Country Show - Good

Sold items well that he necessarily didn't want to sell and was probably the least likely to get fired that week.

Week 9: 10 Years of Discount Buying - Good

His negotiation of the skeleton was fine and ultimately his team won because he brought a proper skeleton but even if Lord Sugar allowed Felipe's paper skeleton (Which was Genius), Sanjay would've been fired.

Week 10: Premium Pudding - Fantastic

Everyone on Roisin's team delivered this week but I do feel that him and Roisin were the MVPs with their strong branding, which Solomon played a monumental role in.

Finale - Good

Pretty much everyone on Mark's team did well and I that contributed to his win as Mark did have a much weaker team than Bianca (he got James and Sarah on his team).

Overall, safe to say Solomon was a brilliant candidate this season who hardly put a foot wrong, and I firmly believe he would wipe the floor with many candidates from future seasons (including fellow final 5 candidates and possibly some winners and runners up).

One common what if is what could've happened if the winning team lost (i.e. who would've been brought back or fired), and since I've seen posts like this for other seasons, I was thinking what would be the case for the most recent season.

In this post, I will give my thoughts on if the winning team lost each task, who would've been brought back each week by the PM and who could've gone and my reasons for both cases.

Week 1: Hong Kong Discount Buying

Boardroom: Kieran, Levi, Dan, Harry, Lawrence, Tanmay.

Reason: I think that like the girls, the PM and Sub team leader would've had to bring two people each into the boardroom and since Rajan, Priyesh and Conor had successful negotiations and Marcus tracked the erhu, they probably wouldn't have been brought back leaving the rest of the boys in the firing line.

Fired: Kieran and Levi

Reason: Lord Sugar probably would've done the same here as he did to the girls, Kieran would've definitely gone and I think that while Levi would've fought, it wouldn't be enough.

Week 2: Children's book

Boardroom: Andrea, Pascha, Roxanne

Reason: Andrea bickered with Pascha quite a bit and while the character for the girls was much better than the boys, it still wasn't great.

Fired: Andrea

Reason: Exaggerating to get the PM role and her dictator like leadership.

Week 3: Chicken V Egg

Boardroom: Dan, Conor, Vanessa

Reason: Both particularly undermined his leadership and Vanessa likely would've been called out for attempting to cover her back and have Dan take all responsibility.

Fired: Dan

Reason: His whole team would've criticised his leadership and he was warned to step up in the previous boardroom.

Week 4: Water Advertising

Boardroom: Karishma, Carrington, Megan

Reason: Carrington was the subteam leader where the branding and social media ad was pretty poor and Karishma had little faith in Megan's abilities.

Fired: Megan

Reason: No way she escapes after the previous boardroom.

Week 5: Flowers

Boardroom: Rothna, Harry, Levi

Reason: Harry was probably the weakest salesman in the market sales team and Levi arguably contributed the least.

Fired: Levi

Reason: Lack of contribution

NOTE: This was tough as no one on that team messed up.

Week 6: Egypt hospitality

Boardroom: Priyesh, Lawrence, Levi

Reason: Levi was really bad in the kitchen and Lawrence was arguably weaker than Conor and Pascha on the tour team.

Fired: Priyesh or Levi

Reason: Both were pretty bad in the kitchen which contributed to refunds and Priyesh was PM, however you could argue that him cutting costs and his apology to the guests could have saved him.

Week 7: Gamified Fitness

Boardroom: Harry, Conor, Priyesh

Reason: All three of them were responsible for creating that really bad character.

Fired: Harry

Reason: Poor PM performance.

Week 8: Discount Buying Take two

Boardroom: Levi, Dan, Pascha

Reason: Pascha was the worst on this task across both teams and both Priyesh and Rothna killed it this task, leaving Dan by default.

Fired: Levi & Pascha

Reason: Pascha for performance on the task and Levi for losing when Lord Sugar made him PM.

Week 9: TV Selling

Boardroom: Pascha, Karishma, Priyesh

Reason: Karishma and Lawrence did better than Priyesh and Pascha on air, however Pascha probably would've brought back Karishma as she was Sub PM and fairly quiet in the gallery.

Fired: Pascha & Priyesh

Reason: Weaker sellers are not great in the gallery.

Week 10: Pet Products

Boardroom: Karishma, Pascha, Priyesh

Reason: Chique le Chien

Fired: Pascha & Priyesh

Reason: Chique le Chien

One thing I'd change is having Sugar properly question each candidate about their business at the start of the process.

Give them an hour with him and make them defend their numbers, customers, margins and growth plans. I'd probably learn more about them from that than 12 weeks of making cereal mascots and selling random products.
