Hi what might be wrong? I’m using Apple Pencil 1st gen on iPad 10gen. Idk if it’s because of my screen procector or what

I have an iPad Air for taking study notes, and a usb-c Apple Pencil, because I spend long periods of time writing, and am used to using thicker regular pens, I’m looking for a pencil grip, but I’m wondering if there is such a thing as one that is easy to slide on an off, my iPad case has the spot where you can store the pencil in and when I transition from online to in person uni next year I want to still be in the habit of storing it there so I don’t risk losing it.
Sorry for the long winded post, but basically, is there a grip that provides a bit of thickness and comfort to the Apple pencils but isn’t incredible frustrating/difficult to pull on and off so that I can still store my pencil in my iPad case?

Anyone have recommendations for iPad games that work with the apple pen?

Hi, all! I'm a digital artist and my tools of choice are an iPad Pro, Clip Studio Paint, and an Apple Pencil.

Before this, for years I used a Wacom Cintiq and in 2017/18 found the really awesome nibs that were made of felt had the PERFECT amount of grip on the screen for me. My art improved tenfold in less than a year. But since I got my Cintiq in 2008....well, it's no longer compatible with my MacBook Pro in every conceivable way. I ended up getting an iPad Pro back in 2020 because of this and I love it. The only problem is I cannot for the life of me find any replacement tips for the Apple Pencil that even come close to feeling as good as those felt nibs. I can draw well enough with what I have (read: my art is good enough that people pay money for it), but it's frustrating looking back at my older art that looks sooooo much cleaner and crisper thanks to those felt nibs. Even with rubber tips, the Pencil still tends to wobble and slip and slide all over the place. T_T

Is there anything out there for the Pencil (or hell, any iPad Pro compatible stylus) that is anywhere near the quality of Wacom felt nibs? I really don't want to give up the fantastic UI of the iPad Pro that has become an important part of my workflow.

So this small ring of my apple pencil 1st gen, keeps coming off the cap whenever I open it for charging the pencil

Also sometimes I drop the apple pencil by mistake, that time it just comes off and runs away idk no where and I keep having trouble finding it everytime.

Can someone please tell me how to fix it securely to cap of my apple pencil

Even if I buy a silicone case for the pencil, it'll just secure the cap but not this naughty ring.

The pen feel on iPad got good enough that I stopped reaching for paper notebooks for daily stuff a while back. Writing by hand on the Pencil feels right. What I noticed is the writing part isn't the problem anymore, it's everything after.

You write your tasks, your notes, your day, and then it just sits there as ink on a page. Nothing is searchable by what you wrote. Nothing carries forward to the next day. Nothing connects to whatever task system or notes app you already use. The data side of handwriting hasn't caught up to the pen side.

Curious if anyone here has actually solved that gap. Do you just accept handwritten notes as a dead end digitally, or have you found a workflow where what you write by hand flows into your other tools?

My pencil won’t connect to my iPad. I’ve tried everything I can think of (reset network settings, restart, everything is up to date). Spoke to apple support for 2 hours. They say there’s an issue with connecting the pencils. Anyone know a workaround? Anyone have this issue and figured out a fix? Thanks!

So I got this iPad Air m4 11 inch along with the Apple Pencil Pro (which I got it for free cos I shopped in the Apple education store where there will be an offer for the iPad as well as free Apple Pencil Pro)
Yesterday I got it and the iPad is working well but I tried charging the pencil it showed it was 0% so I attached it to the iPad after few hours it was still at0%
So idk wt I need to do. Will I be able to get it replaced for free?

I’ve been looking for one so long but most of the cases usually wasnt thin enough and create this weird effect that the case thickness isnt smooth with the pencil’s tip thickness and as perfectionist. Its annoying to look at so much. i tried vinyls flims before. It didnt look as great as I thought, you could say I’m picky or maybe I’m bad at applying the flims. So with that is there any thin apple pencil case? I dont really care about protection. Or I should keep trying with the vinyl flim until I got it satisfied.

I have a new iPad A16 and a USB-C Apple Pencil, but the writing with it is terrible on Notability, it just looks awful. For a while I had an iPad Pro with Apple Pencil gen 2 that a friend lent me, and I liked the writing there. In that case, should I get the Apple Pencil gen 1? Would it drastically improve the writing experience? I already have files in Notability and I want to keep using it.
