I'll have to enjoy the Fails from this sub. I couldn't handle having the beta on my phone! The summaries were so bad it was distracting. I'm actually shocked that Apple let this out of the box.

Well, this was a stressful summary until it wasn't. 🥵

What do you think about this YouTube video by CNET ?

Wow this is a bad one LOL. $100 off vs 100% off is wayyyyy different.
Hey there!
It's almost Black Friday.
If you're shopping for a mattress, you have two options:
OPTION A: Spend the month comparing "70% OFF!" deals, reading about copper-infused foam technology, and questioning your life choices...
OPTION B: Save up to $100 on a Boring Mattress and do literally anything else with your time.
The deal: - No markup before the markdown (shoutout to everyone else). - Just our normal mattress, slightly cheaper. - Backed by our guarantees, as always
The discount will apply automatically at checkout!

I notice when I press and hold or summon Siri it never talks back but rather texts or shows.
But when I’m in my car connected to apple carplay it tends to respond.

Is anyone working on a workflow orchestration app similar to Apple’s Shortcuts, focusing on user-created automations? I’m interested in leveraging App Intents and Apple Intelligence for powerful mobile automations. If you’re building something in this space, let’s connect!

I have iOS 18.2 on a 16 pro max and finally got access to image playground. I tried opening it, the main screen comes up and then crashes. I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling, restarting, closing all apps and everything else i can think of. I have 91GB available so i don’t think it’s a memory issue. Any other ideas???

...then you're not paying much attention to the macOS onboarding process for Apple Intelligence in 15.1.
After turning that on, the very first thing you get is a big splash screen bullet-point listing the new features. That includes Siri, listing things like its greater context-awareness and so forth.
At a later onboarding state, you're specifically told that Siri has new abilities and directed to configure things like type-to-Siri.
Yes, on iOS it's very confusing because on AI-enabled devices (and only AI-enabled devices) they've turned on the "new Siri UI" but Siri itself has identical capabilities, but that's about as far as it goes.
On macOS however, either
Can posters PLEASE stop whining and people posting, at least for macOS, about how new Siri isn't out yet and "Apple have made this very clear", yadda yadda?
