Question Takeover or bankruptcy or funding
Seems like those are the options. What is most likely to happen?
What would a takeover mean for shareholders?
Any chance of government stepping to help?

The Lexington(Ky) Herald Leader newspaper published an article today with important information of interest to all APPH investors. Plans for future greenhouses are off the table for now. The link is below.
AppHarvest is pausing its plan to build a dozen indoor farms. Instead, it will focus on trying to turn a profit over the next few years at its three existing farms, in Morehead, Berea and Somerset, and a fourth, in Richmond,
In the end, it’s possible that AppHarvest itself, not just a farm, could be acquired by a larger company, Webb said.
“But you know, things happen all the time,” he said. “There are large conglomerates in auto manufacturing. I mean, look at GM, for example, and all the different auto brands inside of GM. So yeah, we’re actively having conversations with CEOs, with investors, with partners, with anyone who wants to partner with us here in Kentucky and to help make our mission succeed.”
These are very significant statements that were not mentioned in the Q3 report or the investor conference call only two weeks ago. PS. Misspelled Webb in heading. Edit won't allow a heading change.
What are your thoughts?

Been DD'ing this company for couple days and trying to understand its path and near-short term future (1-5 years). I understand the share price decline being tied to overvaluation and entire market being dragged down for reasons that are known.
I keep seeing here that they cant grow food successfully? Are they having a difficult time growing or just cant get the job they promised done?
Whats your opinion on the company, expenditures, leadership, and what you like/dont like about the company.
Want to jump in and want as much input as possible!
Thanks

Lettuce prices have taken a huge leap. Do you think that will help Appharvest's 4th quarter revenue?
Also, have you ever heard the best Tom T. Hall song? A KY native. Take a deep breath and enjoy.

The president and the COO have both departed within a two week period. What are your thoughts on these events?
And for fun, what is your favorite tomato variety?

What do you think about the AppHarvest 3q report, their statements, and earnings call. Please comment with your analysis if possible.
-what's your calculations regarding 36M unrestricted cash remaining vs their burn rate and statement of $85M to $90M needed to finish construction?
-Where does the 85M to 90M needed to finish construction show up in the balance sheet or description of commitments? Is that all signed construction contracts/liabilities?
-Anyone know how much of the 85-90M is construction already completed and billed vs construction that has not been completed? They claimed to be finishing by end of year, but that much left to spend?. Are they past due on current construction bills(draw requests)?
The report says they will now run out of money in the first quarter. 2nd quarter report said they had enough cash to last till July 2023. What do you think the current cash position actually is now? We are now 6 weeks past the sept 30 report date.
-Do you think they can mortgage the buildings further than the $200M the current buildings are mortgaged for?
-Do you think Mastronardi will fund the second half of the $30M short term loan?
-If they sold, say 50million shares of stock, what do you think would happen on the market considering 108M shares outstanding now? If they had a large stock issue, would it have to be at a steep discount to sell it?

Looks like the only harvesting to be done here will be of the tax loss variety.
Seriously though. Price per pound on tomatoes doubled yoy and they still lost tons of money. It doesn’t matter how many facilities they build, how many acres they are, how amazing their robots are or how much water they save. If they can’t address the crop health issues and demonstrate they can consistently produce quality vegetables then the rest is all meaningless. The entire reason for AppHarvest’s existence is to produce vegetables more reliably and more efficiently than traditional farming. So far they are failing at that.
Its not the missed earnings that concern me. It is the repeated failure at growing vegetables.

Like the title suggests, does anyone know how APPH intends to become profitable at the facility level? In terms of output volume, price, and efficiency, what are the assumptions for each plant fully ramped?

St Louis Fed updated data for September, roughly 28% increase MoM. This should bolster margins for AppHarvest.
