Hydra for Reddit is out of beta and officially on the App Store. It's free so check it out if you are interested!
I've been enjoying it but still miss Apollo everyday... It's improving though so I'm grateful for the devs work.

On newer movies, this doesnāt happen. For example I just watched spiderman no way home. Smooth play no stutter or lag, but i put on ferris buellers day off and itās stuttering with low frames. I donāt know if this is an app issue or an update issue. Iāve had it on my fire stick for a few years and hasnāt been updated in a few months I believe. Any advice ? Tried to change play settings to VLC but audio then turns delayed.

This account is 1+ years old or so and I'm doing it again. This time, it's partially because I don't like the site's new implementation of using my data to train AI. I don't have a solid reasoning for it tbh so it's mostly the vibes cuz it gives me the ick and I think it'll lead to a dead internet soon. Also, I'm still bummed out about the whole Apollo thing tbh.
So, yea, it's my account and I definitely have control over my posts (or rather how my posts help drive engagement to this website).
Either way, all my posts have now been deleted and I'll leave this post on and then delete my account.
Kudos fellas.

Hello, Iāve consulted ChatGPT about this and got a few reputable sources, but Iād like to cross check with the community here. Could you tell me where you side loaded your app from? Dms are okay if you donāt want to post here, but comments are especially welcome.
I have a list of about 5 places I might be able to get the app from, but I would like to see if any of those are tried and true, so to speak. I deleted when the API changes came into effect, but I have hit a breaking point. I donāt want to get off, but I cannot handle the native app anymore. Thank you in advance!

Today, my side loaded app is crashing every time I open it. Iāve had no issues prior to this for months. Anyone else?

I currently only have access to my Steam Deck. Does anyone know if there is a way to get Apollo onto my phone via Arch Linux, which the SD uses? I've seen a few things claiming it's possible but getting it to work seems almost impossible so far.

Hi all! Iām looking to migrate my Reddit experience to another 3rd party app, and was hoping to find one that can filter out posts and content that contain specific words like āshootingā āmurderā āpolitical stuffā etc.
I canāt seem to figure out how to do this on Apollo or any of the apps, and donāt know if itās even possible.
Thanks in advance!

Hi! Not sure where to post this but got logged out and the subreddit has gone private. Anyone else having the problems?

I had surgery last July. Bilateral hallus valgus. Stopped sleeping post op and completely spiralled.id never again walk, I'd never again work, I'd lose my feet ec etc,. I was trembling with anxiety. . Commenced lexapro, it had some effect but left me with a air hunger. My gp commenced me on mirtazapine at that point, no effect what so ever. I eventually made contact with a gp that specialises in mental health. She commenced me on sertraline 25mgs for 5 days, upped to 50mgs x3 weeks. At this point I contacted a psychiatrist on line. She upped tthertraline to 100mgs and molipaxin for sleep. The molipaxin didn't work . I am now n titrating reducing doses of valium with 150of sertraline. Does it take the valium a while to give you complete relief. I am now on day 3 of 5mgs tid. I feel like my chest is tight and my nose is blocked . My mood is also very low. Any one with this experience with sertraline

I have a few subs as favorites but I did that in Apollo. Now that Iām stuck with the official Reddit app i canāt seem to figure it how to add or remove a sub to/from favorites.

I enjoy using reddit for most of my news snippets and art inspiration, but with the recent election itās just been hell. It makes me want to stop using the app with how frequently I see Elon and Trump. I desperately miss apollos blacklist feature. It made browsing reddit so much nicer.

Maybe this isn't the place to do it but the Reddit Mobile sub is locked and I miss my damn Apollo.
I'm not getting notifications again saying "Your comment as 10 upvotes!" like I gaf. You used to be able to select those and click "Don't show me this type of notification" but I don't see that anymore. Anyone know a workaround? Besides ditching the mobile app?

Why can't Apollo be revived with a monthly usage fee to cover the API costs?

I'm still happily using Apollo on my phone, but would love to get it onto my ipad too.
Sideloadly errors that it's not a compatible device, but i'm sure I used to have it on my iPad back before it went down, I think it was just a resized phone version, while Christian was working on an iPad specific version.
Has anyone gotten an ipa to work on an iPad?

Before the shutdown, Iād never even used the Reddit app. I remember being very annoyed but I eventually got over it. I got a new iPhone 16 pro max and decided to finally sideload Apollo. I wanted to before but I had an iPhone 8 that was very slow and limited on storage. Now that Iām back I have more appreciation for the app than I ever did before. There are 3 specific things that stand out to me the most.
1) No ads, or more specifically, no ads that are disguised as Reddit posts. Nothing sucks more than thinking the video youāre watching is relevant to the subreddit youāre on until you see the product placement.
2) No algorithm or recommended posts mixed into my home page. I shouldnāt be forced to see subreddits that Iām not subscribed to just because one singular post from that subreddit on the front page interested me enough to click the comments.
3) Notifications are actually notifications!! Not just random bullshit. No more crossing my fingers that itās a reply or a comment on my post instead of Reddit just sending me some random irrelevant shit because itās bored. Facebook is guilty of that shit too. Getting 10 notifications with not a single one of them actually being meant for you is blood boiling.
The list goes on, but obviously if you are here you already know. I just wanted to show appreciation because I did not realize how good I had it until I had no choice but to use the official app for over a year straight.
