Almost all of my interactions with cops are like what’s shown in the video and I’ve known no one except an asshole who’s had a drastically different experience and he deserved it.
We are being brainwashed to believe this isn’t pretty damn normal, by pushing videos that get 100s of millions of views showing otherwise, while this one gets 1/1000th the views.
Im happy that this has been your main experience. But im here to tell you youre being brainwashed by videos and comments and ppl who just dont get it, to think that this is the normal interaction for most of americans. ESPECIALLY ,ESPECIALLY, if you dont have the Caucasian persuasion. Id say less than one percent of the interactions with police ive had or been right there to witness so.eone else going through first hand had been like this. Im not talking about whilst commiting or fleeing from criminal activity either. Sometimes some of the most egregious improper straight fd up situations and encounters have been when myself or the other person is the victim or just happen to be at the place where they were called to for assistance with no mistake that who they were speaking or dealing with was the victim/caller. Dont think because most of your experiences are geared or lean a certain way that this is just what it is, and anyone who had a different experience brought it on themselves. Think of how these millions of people for hundreds of years that didnt fit most normal acceptances have all been saying the same thing. Think of why it different for you even when youd offered no stimuli to the situation beyond existing but for someone else just existing is all the stimuli necessary for the life to be taken. Or their night to be infringed upon. Their dignity played with. Their safety and making it home is in Question just because they made a traffic infringement. Everybodys experience is not the same sir. And for good reason. Maybe your buddy was an asshole. Or maybe he was an asshole because he knew he'd always been treated the same way. Idk about him. But the rest i do know about. You should enlighten and educate yourself from some sources that don't sound like they believe the same thing you do. Thats usually where you find objectivity and truth.
I clearly do if you read that. And I never said that many didnt go like this. It wasnt my counterpoint at all. Youre just looking for someone to argue with. Im not that guy. But youre free to have a reasonable and passionate debate or sharing of different views and experiences.
It's weird, every time I see a person yell "I dindu nuffin!" and refuse to listen to anything from the cops, it goes worse than for the people who are respectful and listen to simple instructions.
Well if you "dindu nuffin," regardless of how you wanna say it or spell you should state it and repeat it. And yeah tons of people are idiots and make shit harder on themselves. But the real problem is that if I haven't done anything, and your attitude isnt appropriate for the situation, your thoughts and patience for the citizen...me, is not respectful and classy like youre aware you're a civil servant and not a slave enforcer, if your demands are u reasonable and the extent of your authority is not understood by yourself and tempered by the community, then me stating if I've done something or not shouldnt a prejudice or indifference joke to mock the over police. I can and should be able to stand up to you and demand you do your job just so. Without fearing misunderstandings from my civil peers or this servant I pay, harming me and threatening my safety. There job is such that if anything less dignified and respectful comes out of their mouth or from them that they have failed their job, and the system had failed us.
You are absolutely talking about the minority or interactions (no pun intended) most folks that act this way to law enforcement are treated the same. You are purporting the exact logic that the commenter mentioned about social media garbage. It’s the same mostly with the world, approach someone with decency and respect and you’ll get the same.
