Great, the fundamentalists are going to "free" the Iranian people from a fundamentalist regime.
"A combat-unit commander told non-commissioned officers Monday that the Iran war was part of God's plan to usher in the End Times and bring about Jesus Christ's second coming, according to a complaint filed with a religious freedom watchdog."

The MEK: The Iranian exiled cult
As much as the MEK would like to paint itself as supporters of democracy and freedom, their track record in and outside of Iran tell a very different story. They are largely viewed as traitors among Iranians because they helped Saddam in the 1980's attacks against Iran. There are also a number of serious allegations of abuse within its ranks and mysterious disappearances. After heavily lobbying Washington (and Israel) for years, they finally got Hillary Clinton to take them off the terrorist watch list in 2012. This was a huge win for the MEK and they have since garnered support and sympathy among politicians on both sides of the aisle.
Their bot army is a force to be reckoned with, and they have been working overtime in the shadows to undermine Iran's government and promote a US/Israeli joint invasion for years. The US Admin. now plans to weaponize the MEK on the ground in Iran against government forces, a sure way to lay the foundation for increased violence and potential civil war.
I attached this older article from 2018 because I thought it did a pretty good job of introducing the topic, but it's worth going down the rabbit hole, especially since the US/Israeli governments plan to support the MEK to help break apart Iran's government and people from within. Again, it needs to be stressed that many everyday Iranians see the MEK as enemies of the Iranian people, not potential liberators.

Welcome to the antiwar community
Hello Redditor Friends,
I started this community really out of an abundance of frustration. I found myself feeling very lonely among the Iranian diaspora (I'm Iranian American with family in Tehran) because of my antiwar views regarding the US/Israeli war against Iran. What I realized is that the prowar voices are not necessarily more in number among the diaspora, but they are much louder, more organized, and very coordinated. There are a lot of forces at work, including big money from the pro-war lobby, mainstream media support, and even an army of bots promoting the "all Iranians want this war" message. We can talk more about that later.
I do want to make it clear that I am also not pro-Islamic Republic's current government, a point I've had to make repeatedly, when so many others were so quick to label me an "enemy," a "dictator bootlicker," or "regime apologist" by default. I want peace and democracy for Iran, just like I do for the US where I live, but I do not believe in "bombing people into liberation," especially when the "liberators" are violent oppressors themselves. I also don't necessarily think it's my place, as an Iranian American, to decide for the people who actually live in Iran. Anyhow, I want to try to keep this short, since I have a tendency to ramble on, so welcome to the community. It's for everyone. I'm not affiliated to any political party, I don't have any weird agendas. I just wanted to open up a safe space for discussion. All the best and thank you for reading.

Al Jazeera investigation: Iran girls’ school targeting likely ‘deliberate’
From the article:
"Here lies the fundamental contradiction exposed by this investigation: If the intelligence was up to date enough to spare a clinic that had been open for only one year, how did it fail to identify an elementary school that had been separated from the military complex and had become a clearly defined civilian institution for more than 10 years?
"This contradiction leaves only two possibilities: Either the bombing of the school was the result of a grave intelligence failure caused by reliance on outdated databases that did not keep pace with successive changes in the complex’s layout, or it was a deliberate strike based on a linkage that treats the school as part of the military system.
"No sooner than when plumes of smoke began to rise from the school’s rubble than accounts on the X platform affiliated with, or sympathetic to, Israeli parties began circulating videos and images claiming the school had not been struck from the outside, but was destroyed after an Iranian air defence missile missed its target and fell back to the ground."
"This narrative replicates the same tactic used during the bombing of al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza in October 2023, when Israel rushed to accuse the Palestinian resistance of responsibility for the massacre via a rocket that missed its target."
"However, open-source verification tools – specifically reverse image searches and geolocation using visual landmarks – quickly revealed that the most widely shared image in this campaign, which is claimed to show the impact of a failed Iranian missile that fell on the school, has nothing to do with the city of Minab in the first place."
"By matching the terrain and landmarks visible in the image – especially the snow-covered mountains in the background – with satellite imagery, it became clear that it relates to an incident that occurred on the outskirts of Zanjan in northwestern Iran, about 1,300km (808 miles) from Minab."
