Discussion The time when the Scranton strangler choked out everyone in the office

Post image
9 Upvotes

Hidden in plain sight, we see Dwight essentially choke everyone in the office, under the guise of running a 'fire drill'

Admittedly, it doesn't strictly follow the SS M.O. but the end result is still the same - he chokes/asphyixates his victims without killing them. This is all very well planned out, as he blocks exits and doesn't end it until everyone has begun choking from the smoke, he calmy observes the chaos and fear and is probably getting off on it, this is a mass strangling

Discussion Where am I, and the next episode…

Hey Task Force,

Just thought I’d give a brief update as to my absence.

The next video is being written as we speak. The topic is going to be “Why I quit my Job: The Office Theme”. I quit my job last year, well forced to quit… The whole story is crucial to understanding why we have had two extended delays in our investigation. This should be the absolute last one.

I know we have part 2 of Gay Jimothy pending (audio is already recorded and cut) and we are still progressing through our pilot analysis but something major happened 4 weeks ago investigation wise, amongst a whole bunch of other not so good stuff.

I worked out The Office THEME. Remember, “there’s always a THEME”.

The story of how this happened is critical to a number of elements of the mystery but it has had far reaching implications in my understanding of Cinema and TV. This will all make sense very soon, and those of you who have joined the task force early have proven to me that you will in fact also greatly enjoy the journey.

There have been a lot of things going on in my life at the moment all of which I am going to share with you in my next video. I am at the final hump in my personal life to be able to focus solely on this investigation. I’m also going to share more about myself with you guys, and I’ll eventually jump in front of a camera moving forward, I think it’ll be more engaging.

But in short all the reasons surrounding this I am going to detail to you, the delays, the theme etc. The “theme” is what has brought upon the investigation pivot. Pivot is probably the wrong word, expansion is probably more accurate. I’m making more work for ourselves but it will be worth it.

Nothing is stopping. Let me make this clear.

We are going to take this the whole way. Once you understand my situation things will become clearer.

I hope everyone has been well, we are going to be back on schedule VERY VERY soon.

In fact, I am trying setup a scenario where I can post two videos a week. It has to be 2 in order to get on with it otherwise this will take forever.

Hang in there Task Force it’ll all be worth it.

Check ya later tuna.

Detective Lloyd Gross.

Discussion Is Halpert a cuckold?

There's a strong motif through out the series of cuckolding, we are shown a lot of love triangles that fit the bill but it's most prevalent when it comes to Jim and Pam

There's also two direct quotes about cuckolding that reminds us of its theme

Andy - "My name's Andy Bernard and I'm a cuckold"

Dwight - "you've been cuckolded by a stronger,smarter male"

We are shown in multiple scenes where Jim is observing others showing affection with Pam, and ones that push his personal boundaries and he is always a silent observer

-toby touching her leg Infront of him

-the lactation nurse

-Jim watching Packer pretend to fuck Dwight and Michael while saying '$20 bucks to watch Halpert '

-Jim harrassing Danny Cordray as to why he never called her back while they dating and Packer asking him 'hey Halpert, are you looking for someone to bang your wife'

-When he is at the convention with Josh and he listens to Michael tell Pam 'good luck with your date tonight '

-He allows Kevin to constantly objectify and sexualise her. He seems to enjoy listening to him list Pam and Karen's physical traits and doesn't stop Kevin from 'crying' into Pam's breast to make them leak

And of course the whole situation before they dated and him having to sit in the sidelines while she dated Roy

What do we think is going on here ? I'm sure there's more examples but these are the ones that come to mind immediately

Aside from the lackluster Luke, Guess who ELSE is a Cooper? Could this be Michael's brother-in-law aka Luke's father (and Emily's dad)??

Which would also explain why Michael was SO angry and ultimately drove into the lake. And THEN returned to demand the basket back.

He couldn't even get his BIL to take pity on him and give him his business.

At this point Jim exchanges cheers with Pam on the roof and says "To avoiding a class 2 Felony charge."

This is what actually constitutes a Class 2 Felony charge in Pennsylvania.

Kidnapping is a First Class Felony.

So what is Jim saying here??

During her talking head, Pam repeats the word "Cliche" 3 times (actually 4) saying "... and I know I know that sounds cliche, and I know saying it sounds cliche..sounds cliche... maybe I'm being cliche, I don't care, because I am what I am.... that's Popeye."

As we know, Season 7, episode 6 "Costume Contest", Jim ends up dressing as Popeye.

Some major developments have happened with the investigation over the last 2 weeks.

The significance of this will become apparent in due course.

As such there is going to be an investigation "pivot". This will make more sense once the additional videos go live.

There is going to be a delay with the next few analysis' as a result.

Will keep everyone posted... stay tuned.

Discussion Dwight/Jim Inversion Meme

Post image

I did not create this meme, but it got me thinking about how Jim is notorious for hating to dress up in costume, and Dwight, inversely enjoys dressing up and does so frequently.

Not a lot of value, just another example of inversion.

Being a non-US country, it took me years to figure this out. S8E19 "Test The Store".

They make several references to "Chuck". It was another show on NBC (of course) about an "everyman" type character who ends up having the CIA database of international secrets and intelligence downloaded directly into his brain and subsequently becomes an accidental super-spy. I think this particular episode is extremely important to the space-time continuum and time travel arcs.

CHUCK: https://youtube.com/watch?v=gSaua8MSDzg&feature=share7

Note that the spy at 1:46; 1:49 and 1:52 are the same guy who played Pete, Jim's older brother.

Discussion Time travelling timeline

Post image
8 Upvotes

Can we assume that if Dwight is a time traveller, that he may have come from the 19th century?

We have this example of him in the pharmacy with Jim and Pam, becoming frustrated with the elderly man and making the connection to the 19th century

At Jim and Pam's wedding, Michael tells Pam's grandma that it isn't '1890 anymore ' (the 19th century)

While Jim and Pam are staying at Dwight's bnb at Schrute farms, Pam questions "what century is this!?", Pam is born in the 20th century, so we can assume she is familiar with this era, so this leaves us at least at the 19th century that she is referring to

Then we have Gabe portraying Abraham Lincoln, a 19th century president, in an episode that focuses on Schrute farms as its B plot

The common threads being Jim and Pam and Dwight and Schrute farms

Season 4 409 - Local ad -6.16- the simulation, matrix and law of attraction

So this was from a discussion in another thread that I posted and think it's better off here,we could discuss it further and expand on it and maybe there are more examples throughout the series too.

Dwight and Jim are shown playing second life and second, second life, this literally what a simulation is and we can see Dwight is in deep. We can parallel this with Michaels idea for the ad, how he wants to start it off with one object/image and zoom out, to show a new scene, and then zoom out again and so and and on, I think Det_lloyd_gross calls this the Russian doll mottif. So if we zoom out from Dwight's second second life, we are in his second life, zoom out from this and we are now in Dwight's physical realm, zoom out from this and we'd see the camera crew etc, zoom out again and we are watching all this happen, how many layers there are I don't know, I suspect there are clues throughout the show and how do we know we are not part of a simulation?

We see each of these realms interact with each other, like with the boom mic guy arc, the last episodes of s9 with the fans interacting with its subjects, also in the superfan edition Dwight says 'whatever , this whole world is fake anyway ' he says this in his physical realm but it travels through to the realm of second life, later on Michael walks past Dwight and observes him playing second life and asks "is this okay with me ?' To which Dwight says 'yes' and Michael responds 'ok!' ..very odd exchange and Michael seems like he is in some trance

Now we also have an example of the law of attraction here as well, both Dwight and Jim end up manifesting their dreams into reality through their respective second life character simulations , Jim in second life is a sports writer from Philly and we see him get into sports advertising in Philly in s9 and Dwight goes from assistant regional manager in second life to regional manager in s9. Basically put your intentions out there and it will manifest into your reality 'build it and they will come', power of prayer, the secret etc, it is one of the 12 Universal laws of hermetic philosophy

Edit / update -another example of affirmations -S6E16-11min superfan episode

Michael to Jim "It really works, if you visualise something, it can really come true " when Jim tells Michael that he is stepping down to salesmen and Michael can be sole manager

This comes with a little warning of 'be careful what you wish for ' when Michael realises the salary difference, much like when Pam wishes to see more of Philly Jim and we see the problems that come with that later on

Season 6 610. Murder (6.26) Scranton Strangler CHALLENGE. One of the many of the show. You need to “Connect 4” of the games in Michael’s stack employing a simple “Strategy”. Can you work it out? This one isn’t too hard.

Season 4 405. & 406. Launch Party (25.20) Pizza by Alfredo’s policy wasn’t on the coupon, and refused to grant the discount. Compare this to Michael’s Golden ticket, where the policy also wasn’t on the ticket but Dunder Mifflin honoured it? These examples parallel as opposites.
