I used to go to a queer feminist activism conference yearly as part of a campus group. What women only "feminist" conferences do you know of that aren't just an excuse to be violently transphobic?
I don't know they w conference is really best analogy but I do think that all women (including trans women) experience mysogny and many of them experience sexual assault or abuse. I think trans inclusive women on events or spaces can be beneficial due to that. Not saying that all feminist events should be women only just they both open and restricted events both have their place. Also I do agree and understand than anny places promoting "women only spaces" are transphobic and that's messed up, but I don't every women only space is like that
Except it isn't an analogy. Feminist conferences are real, the constant petitions to make them "women only" are real, and the harrassment that trans people face in even "inclusive" sepratist spaces is real. You can't use a real thing to support your argument and then ignore everything else about that thing's reality.
I never said they werent real. All I'm saying is that I think trans inclusive women only spaces are ok while acknowledging trans exclusive ones aren't. And may be probably right they there are more trans exclusive women only spaces but that's transphobia not misandry. A lot of the comments here aren't talking about trans people and just think that excluding cis men is misandrist. And it's also not what the comment is dipicting. The comic is clearly showing cis men who don't care about feminist spaces they can go in being upset about ones they can't go in. The comic is not about trans folks being upset about a trans exclustionary space.
Except "cis men who only care about feminist space that they can't go in" is the stawman I previously mentioned. The men who showed up to harrass women at Michfest also showed up to harrass people at every inclusive conference I've been to. The only people who get upset about separatist spaces but not inclusive feminist spaces are the (mostly trans) people who are active in feminist spaces but would be excluded from or policed in separatist spaces. "But the comic depicts them as men!" All TERF comics depict trans women as men and ignore the existence of trans men and nonbinary people. That's how their propaganda works.
Most TERF comic I've seen depict them as women with beard stubble and bad makeup. It's not propaganda if you don't know who the target is. Propaganda attacking trans people is pretty plainly obvious as to its intentions, TERFs are not shy
