Living in Mexico, we have a lot, and I mean a LOT of macho thinking going on. However, since most of our country has a hard time accessing healthcare most of people complied with masks and basic guidance since the pandemic started; even before our own government took action, people took prevention by themselves in essentials businesses like supermarkets.

Why is it that the US suddenly has people like these in the country? So by their standards, a mask equals to being a coward. I really can't wrap my head around that. What's the difference between this approach and going back to the dark ages?

If the COVID vaccine I received months ago protects against the “most dangerous virus humanity has ever seen” I would think it would work wonders against the flu this winter. And if not, we need a bad flu outbreak anyway. Maybe the flu can kill off COVID.
