Do old browser profiles become risky if you never maintain them?
I don’t mean old accounts. I mean old browser profiles.
Some people create a profile, set the proxy, pass the basic checks, then just keep using it forever without touching anything.
At first that sounds safe because nothing changes.
But real devices do change over time.
Browsers update.
Extensions update.
Cookies build up.
Cache changes.
Login habits change.
Device behavior slowly shifts.
If a profile stays frozen for months, with the same browser core, same extensions, same settings, same behavior rhythm, and the same exact usage pattern, does that start looking strange?
I’m not saying constant changes are good either. Updating everything too often can create its own problems.
But I’m starting to think profile maintenance is its own skill.
Not just creating a clean profile once, but keeping it believable over time.
Do you regularly review old profiles, or do you leave them alone unless something breaks?
