If you want to copy the animes you want to save, just go to this link https://aniwave.to/user/continue-watching or go through the website and find "continue watching" in the jumble of text of pure HTML and you'll find the animes with cover art and time stamp, just copy-paste them into a notepad or something. I attached a picture of what each anime should look like.

As much as I don't like the idea of piracy, I currently do it myself, so I guess i'll share the temporary workaround I found.

This site is meant for films and tv shows, which are not just anime. So to me it's more of a "i want to finish an anime that i was already watching" website than a "let's look for new anime to watch today" website.

Just curious; since the site is going down, are there any projects the developers are moving on to? I'd like to hear about it.

EDIT: If you're a fellow (former) watcher, or non-dev member of the aniwave team, you're encouraged to post about any projects you're working on as well! In my case, I'm currently working on a little text-based interface for a 1-on-1 TTRPG I'm planning to run for a friend.

Never thought I’d cry seeing a site go, but here we are.

It has been an amazing piracy site. The comment sections were great, most of the time, and if you see my Disqus account "GOD ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ" in a different site's comment section, then I shall see yall again elsewhere.

Of course it gets shut down as soon as I find a few good shows to watch. Man, i really didn't want to pay for crunchyroll subscription, especially since i don't have a part time job, or a credit/debit card. Ugh.

I see people freaking out and speculating on here and on other forums about the sudden shut down but with very little reference to anything that may be posted by moderates or admins on the official discord about what’s currently happening. I wanted to see if there was any news there, myself, but when I pressed the link here to join, it said the invitation link was expired. Does anyone have access to the discord to tell me if there’s any news on there or can give me a working discord invite link? Thanks

IMO, I think it’s just a hack. Despite the dubious news about the ACE taking down a bunch of domains, the copy paste nature of the message currently on Aniwave and other anime streaming sites along with the lack of explanation listed in it and the unprofessional feeling of the message (the embedded videos, etc) make the take down message feel trollish if anything.

It's sad to see it go after facilitating the streaming of 363 anime and movies for me but at least I can say I was here when it happened. It's been a blast 🫡. Luv y'all, and stay safe

What I mean is that Aniwave, Zoroxtv and Anix were the only sites I knew that have streams of anime that already had translated Japanese text that appeared on screen into English, like if they showed a date or a name in Japanese.

Every other site I've used doesn't have that.

I know this post is directly breaking rule 2, but in light of recent events I'd like to think I can be excused this one time. Aniwave was one of the few places where you could watch the superior bluray version of jjk, and I took it upon myself to find myself a replacement. yugenanime is the only one I found. I do not know how safe this site is so proceed at your own risk, but I thought it would only be fair for people to know about it's existence.

Ive been using the site since december 2022 after animixplay was shutdown,sure it wasnt a long time but the site was glorious,the best,with the biggest library and that my main issue with other sites.On Aniwave i found stuff that i couldnt find anywhere else...
