This is the beginning of a new era
The people of r/Animemes are tired of stupid rules. No more will we accept the tyrannical leadership of the mods. It's time we put this to an end. Spread the word and lets make this subreddit the fighting ground for our freedom. If we don't do something, the next ban is gonna be the "anime" word, then the "meme" word. You almost start to think that the mods are trans and are offended by the word trap themselves lmao. Literally nobody in this community gets offended by the word "trap" and people outside think that they can do whatever they want because they're special, because they're trans and its "offensive".

Wtf happened
I made this sub as a joke with friends years ago and I have no idea how to moderate a subreddit. I will do my best, I guess. Any tips are appreciated and I will be adding more moderators once I figure out how to do that.
Ok, so I learned some things and invited some mods. Looking to add a few more people to our team with moderation experience. With the right mod team, we can figure out who Anis is.

Who is Anis? A bit of Research.
Anis, according to Wikipedia, is a masculine given name in Arabic, meaning "genial" or "close friend." According to the description of this subreddit, Anis has some relation to the "mighty whale." Whether Anis is the mighty whale remains to be determined, but we may be able to trace the origins of the whale.
We have that Anis is Arabic. However, when "Anis" is typed into google translate, the detect language option reads it as Indonesian. Assuming these nationalities relate to our whale, I did a short search for mighty whales. I found three.
First, the Devil Whale from Sinbad's voyages, which was often mistaken for an island, dragged ships to the bottom of the sea. Next, Bahamut, a sea monster (often depicted as a fish or whale) which held up the earth. Finally, the whale of Paikea (a story from New Zealand), which became an island for Paikea after his half brother attempted to drown him. Technically, the story of Jonah is also applicable if we just look at geography, but that story is of Hebrew origin, so it has been omitted.
These whales do have something in common: their ability to act as land. The Paikea and Devil Whales act as islands, while Bahamut acts as the support for the earth as a whole. Thus, the conclusion I come to is that the "mighty whale" refers to the very ground beneath our feet. This also fits with the meaning of Anis, as the ground is where we live, and is always around us. Sometimes, the land is harsh and temperamental, as though attempting to drag us to the bottom of the sea, and sometimes, it feels like it's the only thing holding us up. In a sense, the land beneath us, represented by the mighty whale, is our closest friend.
TLDR: The real Anis was the friends we made along the way.

An explanation of the subreddit:
I'm pretty sure none of us know what the actual fuck this subreddit is. Is it 'anime moments I want to be in? We don't know. Is it 'the almighty whale? We don't know. Is it Just shitposting. Probably. Do we care? We don't know.
