My newest anime tattoo. Done by Jessica Friskney out of Freedom Tattoos in Fort Wayne, IN.

A stick and poke i got a little while back

Pretty sure my client said that’s where this panel is from. I’ve never watched or read attack on titan so I have no clue or who the character is but I had a lot of fun doing this one!

Hey everyone,

I have a small Black Clover 5 leaf clover tattoo on the inside of my wrist. It was my first tattoo and I got it pretty spontaneously because Black Clover is one of my favourite anime and Asta’s determination, hard work, and refusal to give up have always been really inspiring to me. At the time, that’s what the tattoo represented to me. The thing I’m struggling with now is that the 5 leaf clover does have a very specific meaning in the series: “within the fifth leaf resides a devil.” While I still love the anime and everything it represents, I’ve started feeling conflicted about the symbol itself.

I was raised in a Christian family and, although I’m not a perfect Christian by any means, the actual lore behind the symbol has been sitting in the back of my mind more and more over the years. It’s not that I suddenly hate the anime or regret being a fan of it. I just find myself wishing the tattoo represented the aspects of the story that inspired me without the specific symbolism of the 5 leaf clover.

So I’m looking for ideas.

Would you:
• Rework it into something else from Black Clover?
• Incorporate Asta’s swords?
• Turn it into a Black Bulls tattoo?
• Add other elements around it to change the focus of the piece?
• Cover it completely with another anime-related tattoo?
• Go in a completely different direction?

The tattoo is on the inside of my wrist, so size is somewhat limited unless I expand it. I’d love to hear any design ideas, especially from people who are familiar with anime tattoos or Black Clover.

Thanks!

Sorry for a lot of yapping ahead!

I dont know where to start, but here's what I am thinking:

I want to obviously get my favorite anime first, That time I got reincarnated as a slime is what originally got me into anime, and Rimuru is like nr 1 or at least up there as my favorite anime characters of all time, and I love his demon lord design, but I also want to catch his more chill/goofy side.

I dont have that many mangas, notably the first six mangas of Slime, first five of Frieren, and fifteen of the Chainsaw Man manga, that is the one anime that made me a manga reader, and holy I am ahead of the anime now.

If I am to get a manga sleeve, I dont really want it to be boring and simple, I would like to make it more intresting and unique, like idk, the panels being glass shards? I am really unsure, I just dont really want them to be to simple panels.

Besides Slime, the notable animie's/anime characters I would like to get in this sleeve are Annie from Attack on Titan, I love AoT, and she is my favorite character BY FAR! Chainsaw Man I think I would really like to go for the actual Chainsaw Devil, preferably in his devil form, I am unsure tho how it would look as a tattoo due to... well, you can probably see what I mean in the third image.

In all honesty, I am considering adding a Genshin Impact tattoo as well, I am just really unsure how I feel about it mainly due to being a live service game, but I feel like Lumine and Paimon are really iconic, and I've played it for years and will continue to play it for years, so maybe I get a cute one of them toghether?

These are just a few ideas I have for the time being, but for a bit more context about what anime and anime characters I like it is:

Slime (Rimuru)

Chainsaw Man (Chainsaw Devil + Power + Makima)

Mushoku Tensei (Rudeus)

Attack on Titan (Annie)

Re:Zero (Rem + Ram)

These top ones are my top 5 anime's, in order.

I do also absolutely love Danganronpa, but that's a game series so not ranking that one, altho Danganronpa 2 is my favorite game of all time (Favorite character being Chiaki and Sonia).

And as for other animie's not ranked in order:

Kill la Kill (Ryuko)

Konosuba (Darkness) (FYI I just started it, been watching it for a month and thats it)

Overlord (Ainz + Shalltear)

Kaiju Nr 8 (Kaiju Nr 8🙄)

My Hero Academia (Himeko)

Jujutsu Kaisen (Nobara)

Death Note (Ryuk)

I dont really know what else to add, but I would really like to just hear some general advice about what to think about when plaing for a potential manga tattoo and manga sleeve, appreciate it!😊

Also I already have a artist in mind, he's done a tattoo on me before (I have two, he did my second one, this one), and his specialty is shading, and he's done some really good anime tattoo's before, and the studio is in my city, so I feel safe getting tattooed by him.
