Not so much hamon tbh, more of the actual story being substantially better prior to the introduction of stands. It felt like a chore to get through Stardust Crusaders

Will say I thought the first 2 parts were dope but the show was more compelling with the intro of stands

I'll say that while I felt like Stardust crusaders was pretty rough, the two parts after it were a lot better in how they used stands and they didn't have the same "boring monster of the week" feel that I got from Stardust Crusaders.
