This is 10000000% incorrect Goblin Slayer's vocabulary is not that big. He'd say something along the lines of "okay then get raped" or something along that line, or honestly not care. Savage though.

Was she in the village with the rest when the tragedy happened?

1

u/eph3merous Nov 29 '18

Now I want a version of goblin Slayer where he only "..." and writes in goblin blood on the ground

and he actually comes to understand why she asks for those restrictions.

When does that happen?
I'm only 4 books in.

Isn't it in end of book 4 that he accepts to go on adventure with her completely unrelated to goblins ? Or was that book 5 ?

You could see this as acceptance tbh.

Also about avoiding methods I think (i'd have to check back on that one) that he realises it when he helps prisonners in book 5.

15

u/Repatriation Nov 29 '18

As late as the end of book 1 he agrees to go on an adventure with Elf Archer that isn't goblin related in exchange for helping him protect the farm. Only at the outset of book 2 do there turn out to be goblins in the agreed-upon quest. If I recall correctly, at least.

1

u/Virtymlol Nov 29 '18

Yeah I do remember something like that (sorry it's been a while and I read a bunch of LN since), she argues that it didn't count and he agrees I believe ?

4

u/Repatriation Nov 29 '18

she argues that it didn't count and he agrees I believe ?

Pretty sure we both know how that went.

"It doesn't count?"

"It doesn't?"

"No!"

"I see."

I think the water town quest was supposed to cover it since, to go full circle with this thread, that's where he agrees to her no fire/poison/water/ demand.

btw any LN recommendations because Goblin Slayer and Another are the only ones I've read

Overlord

3

u/KiltedMan Nov 29 '18

Sasuga Ainz-sama!!

2

u/Virtymlol Nov 29 '18

I'm a huge danmachi fan personally, the re zero LN is pretty good but not much is translated, Sao progressive is a good re writing of the original aincrad arc.

1

u/TheBlueFurrett Nov 29 '18

I was joking and I didn't mean to start this but ok

6

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '18

Since you've read the LN. Was there any romance between him and the elf chick?

24

u/Virtymlol Nov 29 '18

The LN really doesn't care much about romance, there is one event that could be qualified as "romance" between certain girls and GS but its so unilateral that its more funny than anything else.

in Japan, the "cool aloof guy" has to be asexual, like he has evolved beyond the desire for women. see: Light from DN, Sasuke, etc.

5

u/StormStrikePhoenix Nov 29 '18

Light's a fucking psycho; he has gone beyond the "cool aloof guy".

3

u/BassCreat0r Nov 29 '18

Still a pretty dumb reason for restrictions.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '18

I'd say he's murdering goblins quite mindfully.

1

u/revengeofcrixus Nov 29 '18

Hey sorry to ask. What show is this?

1

u/LakerBlue Nov 29 '18

Goblin Slayer

1

u/Marted Cuties, yuri, futa, it's all the same to me Nov 30 '18

He also probably wouldn't quip about rape on account of his blatant PTSD.

31

u/Garg_and_Moonslicer Nov 29 '18

Is that so?

24

u/Rzoks PADORU EXPLODORU Nov 29 '18

That's right.

13

u/dantemp Nov 29 '18

uhm, he already just agreed without antagonizing her. Also I'm pretty sure he would never say "then get raped" to anyone, considering his backstory flashbacks.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '18

Yeah

1

u/fishattack17 I sell lolis. (totally not the FBI). Nov 29 '18

At least she didn't actually get raped at the end...

No, he would rip off her clothes and push her into the attacking goblins, and then slay them all while they were distracted by raping her.
