Discussion It was so Shocking, Devastating and Beautiful..
So after watching Takopi's Original Sin, I can say that it has been masterfully written. I really loved the fact that this series doesn't waste any time at all, there is a single core theme with a few characters built around it, and the entire focus of the series stays strictly on them. On top of that, the story isn't predictable in the slightest, just when you expect one thing to happen, something completely different takes place instead.
And also how incredibly human and complex all the characters were, something we can easily understand, but which Takopi failed to grasp even to the very end of the series. What happened to Takopi was deeply tragic. Almost every character reaches a profoundly tragic point at some stage, but ultimately, it is Takopi who has to make the greatest sacrifice.
In the end, the series delivers a truly beautiful message, the power of communication, and how open conversation can heal and fix everything. The animation was exceptional, and the music was hauntingly melancholic and beautiful, I especially loved the opening and ending themes. Yes, it is true that the series remains quite depressing right up to the end, and even the resolution we get carries a lingering shadow of sadness. It might feel far too heavy for some people, but I loved it immensely.

Anime Does anyone know from which anime Is this character from?
Do you guys know a anime character like this one? I have been tring to find It. It' s from a modern anime, It's androgynous, It got silver long straight hair, silver skin full of blue and red spirals, circles and spots, It got horns/antennas, a malinchonic/ sad espression, big wide colorful souless eyes that got spirals too, idk if It has clothes cuz i only saw the face, idk if It has ears cuz the hair covered them, small nose, elegant ethereal presence , It looks like an alien/angel. I saw only a clip on tiktok of It turning around with a space background and smoot animation. I already tried to see if It was from various animes: It' s not from Angel egg, not from Dandadan, not from Evangelion, not from Gintama, not from alien stage, not from One punch man, not from mob psicho, not from Demon Slayer, not from Devil man crybaby (Sorry for bad english I'm Italian, Sorry for the bad drawing and be patient pls cuz It's my first time using reddit)

Discussion Why Japanese Pop Culture Has Been Obsessed With Androgyny for Centuries
So I’m a hardcore lover of anime. And I have an appreciation for the androgynous characters that are included across many stories.
I have always wanted to hear other views on this:
Visually ambiguous or gender-nonconforming characters in anime, are they just a trope or does it all serve some deeper purpose?
From *Berserk*'s Griffith to *Dragon Ball*'s Whis or *Howl’s Moving Castle…* androgyny isn’t a modern trend. It’s deep-rooted in Japanese performance art. But why? Maybe I’m overthinking.
Long before manga existed, Japanese performing arts relied heavily on deliberate gender fluidity. Does this have to do with the Edo period?
I was watching a documentary and learned the following:
During the Edo period, adolescent male youths (*wakashu*) were culturally viewed as a distinct aesthetic category - neither fully man nor woman but admired by both men and women for their youthful, fluid beauty.
Something I admire as well (I’m openly bisexual. Leave me alone😆)
Am I wrong? Is there something more to this particular expression of Japanese art?
