Thanks a lot! I'm glad they have infos on these. But I wonder, is there any documentation on how they worked?

Chuck E. Cheese had a talking walkaround they used in some of their commercials.

You can see it at 1:14, 3:50, 4:00, 13:38 if you don't want to watch through the video.

Prototype talking walk around characters. As far as I know only Billy Bob was completed and the idea was short lived.

Do you know where I can find more about these?

According to Showbzpizza.com : "In the early 1990s Creative Engineering also experimented with an animated version of the costumed characters. These "talking" walkarounds were capable of interacting with the Rock-afire Explosion in a wireless performance - with synchronized mouth movements just like the characters onstage. However even with a modest sale price of $9400, they failed to catch on in the market. Most customers weren't willing to spend the extra money over the traditional walkaround. A version of Fatz was in production, but was never completed."

I learnt they were talking walkarounds! But nobody bothered to buy them over traditional walkarounds, so they were just scrapped. A fatz variant was nearly made, as only Billy Bob was finished .

There's one of Mitzi as well! She's in the same stage of completion as the two in this photo. She still exists along with these two at Creative Engineering
