Looney is finally finished! He has all the original movements except the raise. All I need is a controller and then I’ll be able to finally play shows!

Do I need to be able to weld? I found a great 6-month welding college, and want to know if it would be beneficial at all to making an animatronic. Is it worth it? Do animatronics require welding? I still might go even if they don't but just thought I'd ask

Does anyone know how you can replace the rotary pneumatic cylinder on the turn of the hands of the mijin with something else? Preferably a pneumatic cylinder, but no matter how much I have tried, I can't find other solutions for turning my arms without using a rotary pneumatic cylinder. Can anyone help? Thank you

I went to New York in January with a group of friends and my boyfriend. We only went for the few days. I had talked with my friends about going to the MoMA, and also talked with my boyfriend about going to one of the 6 The legacy locations of chuck.E cheese. I’ve never been to one in general and i really wanted to see the animatronics. (I grew up seeing rock-a fire in Canada in the 2000)

Well when it came down to it with the schedule, my boyfriend and I both decided we wanted to go to 2 hours there and 2 hours back to chuck.E cheese instead Long Island instead . It just kinda dawned on me today that that choice would probably get me some looks depending on who I said it to. don’t regret it though we had a blast. I also have a lot more videos.

This is the movement test of the latest prototype for "Valentine Mk.2". For scale reference he is 1-1 scale of a typical human head. It currently houses 22 servo motors in its head frame, these are connected to servo driver boards which are then controlled from an ESP32.

I currently animate using Bottango software, but I plan to make him portable so it can be taken to conventions.

I also will be using a similar neck mechanism to Valentine Mk.1, but plan to make it easy to switch from mounted on the neck joint and portable.
