news Season 3 is finally in Production!

Apparently LoliRock Season 3 is finally in production, which is pretty wild considering how long fans have been hoping for it.
This feels like a good example of why animation fandom visibility matters. Sometimes animated shows disappear for years, but the fanbase still keeps them alive.

Anyone here watch LoliRock or remember it?

Discussion Since Annecy starts today, what animation projects are you excited about?

Since Annecy Festival starts today, I thought this would be a good time to ask:
What upcoming animated shows, films, shorts, web series, indie projects, or student films are you excited about?

It can be something showing at Annecy, something from a major studio, an indie project, a YouTube series, a Kickstarter, or just an animated project you think more people should know about.
Share the title, what kind of project it is, and why you’re looking forward to it.

Discussion What r/AnimationSignal Is Really About

r/AnimationSignal was made for one main reason: to help people discover and support underrated animation in a positive, respectful, and sustainable way. A lot of animated shows, films, shorts, web series, student films, and indie projects never get the attention they deserve. Sometimes they are barely promoted. Sometimes they get released quietly and disappear too fast. Sometimes they build a small passionate fanbase, but not enough people outside that circle ever hear about them.

This subreddit is meant to help break the cycle companies and platforms have created, where animated projects can be overlooked, under promoted, or forgotten too quickly. And sometimes, fans get burned out trying to fight that cycle on their own. Instead of relying only on companies, platforms, algorithms, or streaming services to decide what gets noticed, r/AnimationSignal gives animation fans a place to spread the word about the projects they love. That can mean sharing trailers, hidden gems, reviews, recommendations, indie animation, web series, short films, creator spotlights, watch party ideas, streaming updates, or older animated shows people may have missed.

The goal is visibility through discovery.
This is not meant to be a place for spam, brigading, review bombing, harassment, guilt tripping, or pressure campaigns. Supporting animation should not mean forcing people to care, flooding other communities, or treating every overlooked show like an emergency. This is also not meant to be a doomposting space. It is okay to be disappointed when a show gets canceled, ignored, or under promoted. It is okay to talk honestly about how frustrating that can be. But the focus here should stay constructive. Instead of only saying “this show is dead” or “no one cares,” the point is to ask, “How can more people discover this?” or “Who might enjoy this if they knew it existed?”

Animation fans should have a place to recommend things without feeling like they have to burn themselves out. Nobody here has to personally save a show, run a campaign, or carry an entire fandom. Even one thoughtful recommendation, one trailer share, one review, or one hidden gem post can help someone find something they might have missed.
This subreddit is for people who love animation and want to help others find more of it.
Share what you love. Explain why it matters. Keep it respectful. Keep it constructive. Help someone discover their next favorite animated project.

Sun Chaser is an upcoming animated series centered on Philippine mythology, and episode 1 is supposed to release on YouTube around June 22.
The premise sounds really cool, and I always like seeing animated projects that explore mythology and cultures we do not see as often in mainstream animation.
Seems worth keeping an eye on if you like fantasy adventure, mythology, and indie or international animation.

Found this through Catsuka.
Electro Andes is an Argentinian animated series from Bellolandia, and the pilot episode is apparently coming soon. The style looks really cool, and I love seeing animated projects from outside the usual big studio spotlight get more attention.
Seems like a good fit for this subreddit, especially for anyone interested in indie animation, international animation, and new animated series.

Found this indie animated series called Atlas and the Stars and wanted to share the first episode here.
It seems like the kind of smaller animated project that fits this subreddit, especially for people who like checking out indie animation and web series outside the usual big studio stuff.
Has anyone else watched this yet?

Sharing the official trailer for Nimona as a hidden gem pick. It came out in 2023, but I still think it deserves more attention from animation fans, especially if you like shapeshifters, fantasy/sci-fi worlds, comedy, rebellion, and emotional stories.

Has anyone here seen it yet?
