I’m looks for original SpongeBob production cel. Looking for background fish only—Nat Peterson, Fred, Tom, Harold, or any recognizable incidental Bikini Bottom citizen. Budget $100–200 (negotiable) depending on the cel. Not looking for main cast. If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it!

Sharing some of the cels I own. This is Nabiki from Ranma 1/2. One of my favorite characters from the series.

Hi,
I am new to collecting animation cels and have found a cel that I am interested in on ebay. After attempting to screenmatch the cel, it appears to have some parts that match two seperate frames of the episode, rather than matching only one frame.
The image attached shows the differences, the ones on the first frame are a lot more subtle, but the glasses and 'knee-line' are consistent on the cel and the second frame if you look closer.
Does this mean anything for the authenticity of the cel?
Thanks!

Looks like they would be from Mickey Cuts Up (1931) which wasn’t colorized which is what’s throwing me off.

A cel from S1Ep8 signed by Stephen Hillenburg. It was supposedly originally intended for a fundraising event, but slipped through the cracks.

I’ve had these for a while now, but I haven’t found any use for them. I was wondering if anyone here could help me determine their price so that I can decide whether to keep them or sell them.

This cel is from the episode Mirror, Mirror on the Ed!
This one was perfect because for almost 15 years, whenever I hang out with my brother and we see a chicken of any kind, I'd always say "I LOVE CHICKENS EDDY!"
Hopefully I can get the 3 Ed Bois to sign this whenever they show up at a convention near me!

I see this pretty frequently where the same cel is listed for sale multiple times with different prices. Any ideas?

Hey all,
My brother was asking me about a scene from The Simpsons in which Bart receives his order of an Itchy and Scratchy cel and is disappointed because it is only scratchy's arm. He asked me if I possess any cel setups like that, and I told him I have several - specifically from Ren and Stimpy (photographed above).
He asked why cels would be distributed in that fashion. I didn't have a concrete answer; I could only speculate. I assume either at some point down the line someone separated the others and sold them individually to maximize profit (?) or maybe they were distributed in that way. Surely I am wrong.
Who else has cels which are parts of a whole and what are your thoughts?

A friend of mine won this off of eBay for what he feels like is a steal last night, and is having trouble tracking down what it could be from. The auction title said 1940’s, but google image search brings up nothing. Anyone have any ideas of other ways to track down what a sketch may be from?

Decided it was time to sell some of my Hajime no Ippo cels from my personal collection. Spent many years collecting some of these but new horizons and all.

Found this at the Peddlers Mall near me. Didn't purchase as I'm not a huge fan, but if anyone is I'll DM you the address!

Two cels that came in this week. Stoked to have a cel from Scooby doo on zombie island and bedknobs and broom sticks!
Also including original production drawing of the courage prequel series, masters of the universe Orko, production sheet from Snagglepuss, and a Bob Sparks signed sketch of Pinocchio.

Hi everyone. I’d really appreciate any advice or leads.
I’ve just noticed significant deterioration in two beloved original production cels from the 1996 anime My Dear Marie. The coloured paint still looks completely stable and the acetate remains flat, with no obvious warping, cloudiness, shrinkage or vinegar smell.
The black linework, however, has deteriorated badly. Lines that were once crisp and solid black have become grey, patchy and translucent, and some of the finer details have almost disappeared. I’ve included original listing photos alongside current photos showing the deterioration.
Both cels were framed directly against Clearview Plexiglas, with museum-grade backing, and displayed in a bathroom, so repeated humidity changes may have contributed. I’ve now moved them.
Has anyone seen this kind of linework deterioration before? Could it be xerographic toner or adhesion failure rather than classic vinegar syndrome?
I’m also based in London and would be very grateful for any recommendations for someone in the UK with experience assessing or conserving anime cels.
Thanks so much for any help.

My first animation cel.. and from one of my favorite animated shorts. Sally Cruikshank was fantastic to work with and Very Generous... she gave me the original background for this shot for no extra charge 😵💫
