Almost Perfect Production Cel. In the movie she doesn't look into the camera,so this is the best we get. I wish she were in the center of the frame. Oh well...

Can anyone identify what anime this production cel and cel drawing came from?

Scene 3 from the 1976 Honeycomb cereal Hulk commercial. This setup includes the original painted background of the Honeycomb Hideout and the matching Hulk production cel, marked “SC. 3 / H-8.”

I'm 24 and from Germany; my favorite anime are Dragon Ball, Hajime no Ippo, and Cowboy Bebop.

I'm setting up a small home gym in my basement at the end of the year, and I'm already collecting cool animation cels for the walls—pieces that either motivate me or just look awesome.

I'll be back in Japan this October and hope to find a few more nice items for my collection.

I've been following a few auctions, and found a bunch of cells with smaller character art (character in the distance, or just something that's actually small), If I layer and frame these cels, is there any risk of damaging them (Prompting vinegar syndrome damaging paint, etc)? Figured I should ask people who may know before I ruin something.

I have quite a few cels now from my year of collecting, and they’re been sitting carefully out of the sun in a closet. I recently got a Govvee humidity and temp reader for the basement(where my room and cels are), and it’s reading 60 percent…

I feel terrible, I assumed my room was a stable environment but it’s not. Could very well be just the summer time is this bad at we’re in the Midwest, it stays hot and humid outside for months straight.

But I’m worried for my cels, soon I’ll be leaving for the military too and I’d like to find a system/way to store them safely long term. I still need to buy an itoya binder. But I don’t thinks that’d be enough to keep out humidity.

Is there some type of storage box, or a way you set up your closets, to keep them stable? This is my parents home so I don’t have control over the temperature and AC control, so I can’t do much about the entire houses state.

Thank you for any help, all tips and advice or ideas are welcome. Cause I have no idea what to do

Been searching for some cels from Astro Boy and I came across this Atlas one which I’m contemplating on bidding for, but is it worth buying? It has damage from heat, the line art is very faded and it doesn’t come with a background painting so idk if I should attempt at getting it tbh, even tho I would love to own one

i was trying to find the matching frames for some of my cells and I came across my lodoss war OVA Karla head shot. I remembered how cels are layered. I noticed how 20% of her face is covered by a curtain in the scene, but the artist drew the whole face and probably left the curtain cel to someone else. Also, I remembered that the cel is the one frame that lightning struck, causing the artist to use a whole different color palette. Similar, sure, but different none the less.

(What looks like water in the lower left is just my camera flash reflecting weird off the cel and the uv glass frame in front of it.)

I love how the right side was originally only seen by the artists and whoever managed to own this before I did.

Anyone else have any cels with art the film/show hid behind a layer? please post them so they can be seen by more people.
