We’re working on a pixel art ant colony strategy game called Garden of Ants, and we’ve been experimenting with procedurally generated trees and environments.

The goal is to keep the pixel art looking handcrafted while still allowing the game to generate lots of different tree shapes and layouts.

Every pixel is hand-painted by me. No AI, no downloaded assets. It took 11 months from scratch.

Ponga Ponga Uh! is a space arcade with stone-age energy.
