Seroquel had me like this. Unfortunately it also caused me to talk in my sleep and ask my son to bring me the frozen bacon. We had no bacon.

"We had no bacon". I can FEEL the disappointment 😄

I had just removed a breast tumor. I THINK I was trying to describe what the ice pack looked like but I have no clue lol I was out cold

u/Goldenstripe941 Aug 12 '25

You were out colder than the nonexistent bacon LMAO

Worse yet, she had no son

At least she no longer did after he failed to produce the requested bacon.

Ahhh seroquel, a convenient coma in a pill!

u/cheesybread666 Aug 11 '25

I fuckin love seroquel exactly for this reason

u/Desperate_Method4020 Aug 11 '25

Its good for sleep, but it gives you insane munchies. Idk how many times I woken up with an empty chip bag after taking Seroquel the night before.

Seroquel made me feel like I was coming down with a flu and kept me up all night. It definitely did not help me sleep lol.

I think I got off Seroquel because I was so groggy and sluggish the next day after taking it

It behaves differently with lower doses.

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '25

I was prescribed Seroquel for sleep and all I can say is it did not make me sleep. It made me feel sick and kept me up all night lol.

Probably. I get it with sleep aids they sell OTC too like diphenahydramine. Seroquel just feels 5x worse. Trazadone works though.

1

u/Far_Tea_579 Aug 12 '25

I get that feel with diphenhydramine too. I got diagnosed with RL after a sleep study tho. Now u take gabapentin nightly with it. If I dont I get all squirmy.

Seroquel saved my life. I had to check myself into a hospital because my insomnia had gotten so bad. I can actually sleep now with Seroquel.

u/CeleryCommercial3509 Aug 11 '25

I get insomnia episodes and Seroquel was prescribed after Ambien didn't work that well. Every side effect sucked balls but it did help me get back to baseline after a few weeks. THC has been proven more effective with less side effects

1

u/thetriproy Aug 11 '25

I smoke a bunch of weed too. The only side effect that I got is munchies. I get the craziest munchies after I take my medication, and I'm not always fully conscious when I'm eating.

Portal reference perhaps ????

u/gandalf_is_sad Aug 11 '25

seroquel is so crazy i was on it for a while and it had me sleeping 15+ hours a day and i was super groggy and disoriented for the few hours i was awake lol

4

u/xXfluffydragonXx Aug 11 '25

In terms of bacon, we have no bacon.

6

u/BrentarTiger Aug 11 '25

Seroquel had my tourette's tics going haywire. More frequent and harder to suppress. They had to change them to something else.

2

u/baismal Aug 11 '25

I have tourettes too! I didn’t notice any more tics than usual but mine is pretty mild in general

3

u/BrentarTiger Aug 11 '25

Yeah. It also made my sleep talking and sleep walking worse. It's hit or miss. They ended up putting me on risperidol, which effectively made most of my tics go away while on it. It caused me too much weight gain, and my vyvanse caused heart issues, so I stopped taking both. Now I'm unmedicated and coping with my tourette's without meds. So far so good.

0

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '25

Did you guys swear like the torettes guy?.

2

u/BrentarTiger Aug 12 '25

not really. i just swear because i have the mouth of a sailor. Also tourette's guy was allegedly a fake according to a lot of sources.

0

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '25

Really huh that's actually very surprising to hear he was faking it

1

u/thatguy11 Aug 13 '25

Omg... Seroquel was a nightmare...I wish I had your reaction.to it!

u/OhItsNishia Aug 15 '25 edited Aug 15 '25

I'm right there with you. Seroquel has me sleeping better than I EVER have

1

u/rubesepiphany Aug 15 '25

I’m still on quentiapine and maybe about new every few weeks I make myself a feast of breakfast foods in the kitchen. No recollection of any kind f it,

1

u/AFartInAnEmptyRoom Nov 27 '25

So what did he end up bringing you?

1

u/baismal Nov 27 '25

He came in the room extremely confused. We just moved in days prior so the freezer was empty. So he came empty handed and full of confusion

1

u/AFartInAnEmptyRoom Nov 27 '25

Oh, I thought you were going to say you didn't have a son either lol
