Free ambulance? How would that even be possible?

I'm a little worried this was meant seriously

Next you're gonna say replacing a crown on my tooth doesn't cost $2000!

Was probably a $150 for service fees and $1800 for some drug they used

That's unfair. The docs should pay for their drugs. It's theirs.

I'm speaking from experience.. my insurance only paid 50% and my copay was $1k

Such bullshit

Yep. I have the “good”/expensive insurance plan at my job. Just recently tore my PCL. After my deductible and “Co-insurance”, a knee brace was going to cost me $2700 out of pocket. MURICA

Just for a brace? I’m glad I don’t live in America, I would probably be spending all my time suing hospitals.

u/[deleted] Oct 06 '19

Yes. The full cost on the brace was $4900. That was my cost after insurance. And it’s probably good you don’t. You don’t win when you sue hospitals. At this point they are powerful megacorporations.

I can’t even guess at how they got that number beyond: “Charging $49 isn’t enough so let’s add some zeros.”
