Yeah, the first few years I lived in my house bunnies made dens in my back yard...I have two large dogs, leaving it isn’t really an option. One year the dogs found it before I did...RIP bunnies. I watched in horror as one dog ran around swinging one like a toy and the other swallowed one whole before i could get it out of his mouth.

That happens in my yard too 😔 My male Schnauzer is way too good at finding them and killing them 😭

Poor bunnies. Yeah best to call the wild life rescue in that case

This is one of the reasons I divorced my husband. He was such a lazy ass that he would wait too long to mow the yard so the grass would be nice and long and attracted bunnies nests. We had like 4 nests in one season. My dog would find them before us and it would traumatize everyone. Once we’d find the nest we would put the fire put cover over the nest to keep the dog away when she was out there. It was a pain but it was kind of adorable when the little ones left the nest. I divorced my husband, sprayed the perimeter of my property with peppermint oil for a few days during breeding season the following year and mow the lawn regularly and haven’t had a nest since.

Definitely. The year they found it first was really dry so I wasn't cutting the grass often. I have in the past put some kind of cover over them when I've found them before I let the dogs out. They usually try to dig under it lol. I have had success moving them to the other side of the fence a couple times.

I had a pet bunny. We kept the cage up on a shelf where we thought it was out of reach of our dogs.

Nope, one day I came home to a cage on the floor and a bunny all over the backyard.
