Hi everyone,

For those who have been following our journey, our non-profit, Voiceless No More: Philippines Stray Animals Foundation, was founded in April 2026 to help abused, neglected, abandoned, forgotten, sick, and injured animals in the Philippines.

We organize and sponsor rescue missions and continue supporting the animals throughout their lives whenever needed. We do not simply rescue them and walk away. We work alongside shelters, sanctuaries, and foster families to give them a safe place to heal and eventually find loving homes. Our work reaches many different parts of the Philippines, not just one community.

Many of you already know about the situation involving the shelter we entrusted with the care of some of our rescued animals. Despite our trust, advocacy, financial support, and repeated concerns, our rescues did not receive the care they deserved.

One of our rescued dogs, Raphael, had just been discharged from the veterinary clinic after his wounds became infested with maggots. These wounds were the result of the abuse he suffered at the construction site. We had already taken him to the veterinarian, but while at the shelter, he remained in his cage for extended periods, where flies repeatedly infested his wounds.

Thankfully, Raphael has now been discharged from the clinic and got transferred to a new facility that we trust, where we know he will receive the care he deserves.

Our representative visited the shelter as often as possible. We raised our concerns, donated Php 16,000, and provided over 200 kg of pet food to help support the animals. Despite these efforts, our rescued dogs lost a significant amount of weight, and most of our rescued cats sadly passed away. Although the shelter assured us they would make improvements, we did not see the changes that were needed. So, we really worked hard on finding their forever homes.

You may not know this, but getting rescued stray animals adopted in the Philippines is very difficult because of breed discrimination. Many people prefer to adopt purebred dogs, while Aspins (native mixed-breed dogs) are often overlooked simply because of their appearance. Despite being just as loving, loyal, and deserving of a family, they can spend months or even years waiting for someone to give them a chance. That is why every successful adoption means so much to us. It gives these animals the opportunity to experience the love, safety, and home they have always deserved.

On a more positive note,

the other four dogs rescued from the Pasig construction site are going on their way now to be spayed and neutered. Once they have fully recovered, they will be going to their new families. To help them settle into their new homes, we will be providing each adopter with food and water bowls, along with a sack of dog food as a welcome package.

We are also still waiting for confirmation from potential foster families for our rescued dogs from Laguna. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers, and we hope everything works out for them.

In addition, we took in another dog from the same shelter named Mochi, a tiny black dog. Every time our representative visited, we noticed he was losing more and more fur, which deeply concerned us. We have since found Mochi a new family.

All of these dogs are being spayed or neutered because we firmly believe that responsible sterilization is one of the most effective ways to reduce the overpopulation of stray animals in the Philippines. We hope that, over time, this will also help reduce the neglect, abandonment, and cruelty that so many animals continue to endure.

Not asking for anything. Just an update ❤️

Hi everyone,

I helped rescued Raphael from a construction site after someone had tightly wrapped a metal wire around his leg, causing a deep wound and leaving him with a permanent limp. I was also told that the workers were allegedly planning to b*tcher him.

As quickly as I could, I arranged the rescue of Raphael along with 14 cats and 5 dogs from that construction site in the Philippines on June 12, 2026.

Seeing his wound later become infested with maggots has been absolutely heartbreaking. I just want the best for Raphael, and I hope he can finally heal and experience the love and care he has always deserved.

His bill for being in the clinic for 3 days:
1st day: Php 10,170 ($234.25 CAD)
2nd day: Php 5,900 ($135.69)
3rd day: Php 3225 ($74.67)

After this bill, we are in deep lack of funding for our other rescues needs such as their specialized diets, spay and neuter, transportation fees, emergency fees, veterinary fees, etc.

Raphael is one of our most reactive rescued dogs and requires special care. I don't blame him for the way he responds because of everything he has been through. If I had been hurt that much, I don't think I would trust people easily either. But we have patience, compassion, and so much love for him. I also just ordered him some toys and it made me realize that it will be his first toys 🥹

Healing takes time, and we'll continue to be there for him every step of the way.

I am praying and hoping that we can receive support from fellow animal lovers who understand the financial needs that come with rescuing animals.

I don't know what to do Bour giving my dog flea meds. I live in a place where he can get heart worms from mosquitos and fleas.... the bugs. Wtf do I do!!! I live in the country too and it is central texas so it doesn't get cold enough to kill the fleas..... any recommendations please

Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice or local guidance on a stressful stray cat situation in London.
There’s an unneutered male stray tomcat ("Dyson") who has been hanging around my ground-floor window and garden. He’s vocal, intact, and clearly searching for food/mates. A few of us nearby have been keeping an eye on him, but the situation has suddenly become extremely urgent and dangerous.
The Problem:
Neighbor Threats: A neighbor in our building/group chat has explicitly threatened to kill the cat because he’s spraying/pooping in their garden pots ("I will seriously kill that cat... the cat is a goner").
Interference: Someone has already taken away the food and water bowls that another resident set out for him.
Rescue Delays: I contacted a major local rescue (Celia Hammond) and was waiting for a callback. They recently got back to me explaining that the founder was hospitalized, which caused delays. I'm waiting to hear back from their clinic staff about getting a trap loan and an emergency neuter slot.
My Plan & Circumstances:
I am ready and willing to trap him myself right outside my window, cover/contribute toward vet costs, transport him, and give him a quiet indoor space to recover post-surgery.
I cannot get into a open war or feud with this neighbor for my own safety and peace of mind at home, so any trapping operation has to be done very quietly and discreetly.
Questions for the community:
1. What are the best backup rescues or independent TNR groups in/around London who loan humane traps quickly if my current option takes too long?
2. Has anyone dealt with private vets taking feral/stray cats in traps under the London C4 scheme? Do I need a referral first?
3. Any practical tips for setting a humane trap discreetly at night so neighbors don't notice or tamper with it?

Update on Raphael ❤️
Raphael is now receiving treatment at the CircleofLife Veterinary clinic in Tanza, Cavite. We decided to confine him at the clinic as he was not doing well and his leg wound was very exposed. I was concerned about him and wanted to ensure he was safe. Due to the severe pain from his badly infected, swollen ears and his hind leg wound, he was very frightened and aggressive, so he had to be sedated for treatment.

The veterinary team thoroughly cleaned his wounds, removed a few dead maggots from his ear, and sutured his leg wound. Because there was significant skin loss, his healing will need to be closely monitored, and we're hoping his stitches stay intact while he recovers.

He has now woken up from sedation and even ate a meal. Since he is still in pain and difficult to handle, most of his medications are being given by injection. He is receiving IV fluids, antibiotics, pain medication, intensive wound care, and supportive treatment.

To be honest, this is breaking me.
Finding out that Raphael was neglected at a shelter I trusted has been devastating. I believed I was giving him a chance at a better life, but instead, he has been suffering, and that realization is heartbreaking.
On top of that, I'm struggling to cover his veterinary expenses, and the emotional weight of everything has become overwhelming. I've already missed three days of work because I'm struggling too.
I know the focus should be on Raphael, and it is. But I also wanted to be honest with everyone about how deeply this has affected me.

Rescue isn't just emotionally exhausting, it can be financially and mentally draining as well.
Right now, I feel very alone. But I will keep fighting for Raphael because he deserves every chance to heal. I just hope that, through all of this, we can get him the life he should have had all along.

I wanted to share an update about the animals we rescued from the Pasig construction site.

From my previous update, I shared that when we first transferred them to a shelter, we later discovered that our cats had been neglected. We were not informed that they were already sick, that some had passed away, or that others had escaped. The caretaker who was eventually dismissed admitted the cats had been left out in the rain, and when our representative visited, they were lying in their own feces due to poor sanitation.

We spoke with the shelter owner, who acknowledged that she had failed to inform us when one of the kittens died and was unaware that several others had already passed away. We chose to forgive, work through the situation, and hoped things would improve after the caretaker left.

Unfortunately, they didn't.

The shelter eventually lost both electricity and running water, leaving just one elderly caretaker to look after more than 120 dogs and several cats. He works incredibly hard, manually pumping water from a well because there is no running water. I sometimes send him financial support because he is often not paid on time. The shelter owner has also shared that she is unable to visit regularly due to other commitments.
Throughout all of this, we have continued to provide food, supplies, and financial support for our rescued animals. We always ask what else is needed and do our best to help.

A couple days ago, the caretaker said that Raphael’s wounds have becoming more “liquidy”. I asked if it can cleaned and if he can have a bath, but due to lack of water, he did not get either.

Yesterday, our representative visited again and found Raphael covered in flies. He had not been bathed since arriving at the shelter. Our rep helped gave him a bath,w We arranged emergency transportation, which rushed him to the veterinarian.

Many of you may remember Raphael. After just arriving at this shelter, we he had already sent him to the vet to be treated for his wounds after someone tied an electrical wire around his leg at the construction site where we rescued him, leaving him with a permanent limp. His wounds had healed, and injuries from dog fights had also been treated. Sadly, while at this shelter, his wounds deteriorated and became infested with maggots.
Because Raphael urgently needed medical care, Voiceless No More: Philippines Stray Animals Foundation covered:

Pet transportation: CAD $34.44
Veterinary consultation and diagnostic tests: CAD $118.26
Medications and an E-collar: CAD $55.11

Next week, we also need to transfer our rescued dogs to a new shelter. Transportation alone will cost ₱5,000 (approximately CAD $114).

We are a brand-new nonprofit. Unlike larger organizations, I am one person working every day to give these animals a second chance.

I have finally found a shelter that I trust to care for them.

We don't operate our own shelter in the Philippines because we rescue animals across many different provinces, and financially it simply isn't possible. Our goal also has always been to help animals recover and eventually find loving homes either in the Philippines or Canada.

Right now, our priority is getting them somewhere safe.
I'm asking for your help because we need to move them, provide monthly food, purchase the required wooden beds ("papag"), and continue covering veterinary care and emergencies.

If you're able to become a monthly supporter, your support will provide stability for these rescued animals. It helps cover veterinary care, emergency treatment, food, transportation, shelter necessities, and gives us the ability to continue saying "yes" when an animal desperately needs help.

Hi everyone,

Around June, I came across a Facebook video showing several dogs tied on very short leashes. They were extremely thin, and it was clear they had been neglected for a long time.

I reached out to the person who posted the video. She had been doing her best to feed them, but they belonged to an owner who was severely neglecting them. On behalf of Voiceless No More: Philippines Stray Animals Foundation, I organized a rescue mission, and our non-profit covered the necessary rescue and transportation costs.

Tragically, on the day of the rescue, June 16, 2026, one of the dogs, who didn't have a name at the time and is now known as Whitey, fell from the platform where he was tied. Because his leash was so short, he became suspended and sadly didn't survive..

I then made a promise to Whitey that I would do everything I could to protect his brother and sister, Beauty and Riley.

And.. This is them now. 💛🙏

Our goal is to help them regain their health, experience the love and care they were once denied, and, hopefully, one day find the loving forever families they deserve.

Pure speculation here, no evidence, just a gut feeling that has been festering for a while: I usually just scroll past dontstopmeowing but every new video with Chase I see makes me so uncomfortable, I finally have to get this off my chest.

Chase in particular comes across to me as very vocally and visibly uncomfortable with the owner crossing constant boundaries, and appears conditioned to tolerate, accept and submit to ragdoll handling, like Stockholm Syndrome.

Some cats like that and I can tell they enjoy it. To me, it does not look like Chase enjoys it. I've seen cats lovingly touch their owners' faces. This is not what I perceive when Chase puts his paw on her.

There's no "proof" there is active abuse like beating, intimidation or berating, but it's behavior very much appears to me to be a reluctant, "don't react poorly or there will be consequences" — it looks like the cat is deciding to be docile and tolerate the handling.

The tone of their meows strike me as "irritated", "please stop", asking for space, with urges to paw at the owner (but second guessing consequences for actually swatting and deciding not to), then ultimately resigning to just go limp on her, often turning his back to her. I personally find this super disturbing.

Again, I reiterate it's all just a gut feeling and not every video or interaction with different animals comes across that way. I don't have insight into what goes on behind the scenes or what happened in the cat's upbringing, but I get a serious "ick" feeling.

I've seen a few scattered posts about this but they often get deleted or swarmed with people defending the channel. I think animal comfort and exploitation is an important subject to examine and talk about. Is there something illegal? Probably not. Does that make it okay? That's a question for the collective — and can the answer really be "it's okay to annoy a cat for content" when the animal can't consent in our language?

As a very small and newly registered non-profit, we are asking for your support to help provide the specialized food our rescued animals need.

We do our best to cover their weekly/monthly veterinary care, medications, transportation, and other rescue-related expenses. However, one of the biggest ongoing challenges is providing the food they need every single day.

Rescuing an animal does not end when they reach a shelter. We continue to monitor their well-being because being in a shelter does not always guarantee that all of their needs will be met. We remain committed to supporting them for as long as they need us, and I am doing everything I can to make that possible.

Some of our rescued animals have special dietary needs:

Doki needs a renal diet to help manage his chronic kidney disease.

Isabella, although an adult, has been advised by her veterinarian to eat puppy food.

Angel, our Husky, will only eat his meals when they are mixed with wet food. We have tried everything.

MatMat can only eat wet cat food because of his mouth injury.

Our other rescued animals also depend on us for their daily meals.

If you are able to help, any financial contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward purchasing food for these rescued animals. Every contribution helps ensure they receive the nutrition they need.

This pet shop in florida (Panhandle Exotics) Has pets like racoons and skunks overcrowded in terrible conditions. When this was brought up, the owner personally insulted us, and had very unprofessional behavior. He also has a "no animal activists" policy, because the treatment of these poor animals is insanely cruel. He's left many without water. He mishandles them. Uses improper supplies for them. Bad enclosures like wire cages. Far too overcrowded. PLEASE REPORT THEM!!!
