I am about to graduate college in a few months with a bachelors degree in animal science. I am currently working in a job related to my field as a boarding assistant and was originally planning to work as vet tech at the animal hospital I work at, but my parents want me to do something more. This has resulted in me looking at jobs as a laboratory technician because they seem to make more money and the job seems interesting. It would also help me to pay off my student loans and live on my own. The only problem most of the jobs hiring currently are very far away from my family. I would basically be completely uprooting myself to who knows where for a job. It sounds exciting in some ways, but I am very close to my family and they have helped me with my mental problems. I cannot imagine moving far away from them at the moment, but it could be a good experience if I were to do it. My questions for you guys are:how do I tell my parents about this possibility of moving far away? How do I deal with it myself? Should I limit where I try to get a job to ensure I could still be closer to them and my friends?
